Thought maybe The Beatles would fit the Pop category these days
I like some of their songs so that means they aren't too 'Rockish' lol puff_>>
They are all 60's to mid 80's in the case of the Talking heads basically late 60's through the 70's rock, not really hard metal rock, but I would not call it other than Rock !
Is Elton John rock ?
I'd call him more of a crossover between pop & Rock
The others mentioned are clearly Rock, maybe the Talking Heads might slip into the pop category, but I think not
The Kinks and Foreigner and Dire Straits are as Rock n Roll as my favorite band, the Rolling Stones
My most seen band is easily Lynyrd Skynyrd, probably seen them 8 times, they always seem to be the opening act
My first concert was the WHO in San Diego in late 1982, it doesn't matter what month, everyday is perfect and the same there, at least it was 35+ years ago !
