How nervous would you be?

I live in a Fort Lauderdale suburb.

We have a "peaceful protest" planned in my city tomorrow afternoon. How nervous would you be if your suburb city was hosting this?

My city is majority democrat but nervous that TOO MUCH riff raff is gonna come in and cause problems

we had choppers and popos actively patrolling our area last night...granted we live in the westlake/southlake area...so it's pretty big money.
but i'm strapped with plenty of .223 and 9 mm in case someone thinks they are coming near my immediate spot.

That's a very good question. In Las Vegas, peaceful protesters have been met with police violence. That effectively eliminates all peaceful protests and requires that they all be violent. Probably not going to any today, might go to one scheduled on Wednesday.

How nervous would I be? Not at all unless it were being held on my street and even
then probably not nervous as I have enough fire power to deter any reasonable situation.

And since I have to right to protect myself, my family and my property I'd have no problem
doing so by any means necessary.

I should have added "how nervous would you be for your city as well?"

There is a scheduled protest from 2-4 tomorrow and its stated that after 4pm, you will be in violation. However that means jack squat. Just afraid for my city to look like a war zone and have local businesses destroyed b/c of this as its being held in a downtown area with lots of stores and good restaurants.

I live a few miles away from the location so i'm not as worried about my home

Bullshit.

Sheriff said people were setting fires, throwing bricks and frozen water bottles at police.

I don't believe for a second that police were instigating the violence.

I live in Hollywood. I would not be within several miles of where the protest is taking place. Keep in mind that these protestors will sometimes march and block major roads and even highways. As it gets dark out, if they haven't disbursed by then, the threat of violence increases exponentially. Broward County has a 9 PM curfew tonight. I already have spoken with several of my neighbors who are all ready if the protests head towards our neighborhood. However, I have no reason to believe that the protestors are going to hit residential neighborhoods. Antifa and most anarchists are not dumb and know that they are seriously outgunned when they step into residential neighborhoods, especially in Florida.

I already thought of a few alternative ways home from work tomorrow as i live off the sawgrass. The protest is planned between 2-4 tomorrow on sample and university.

I know of a few neighbors who I am friendly with who HATE a family in our neighborhood and i'm 100% certain that they are polishing their guns if they step out of line

So why are there hundreds of arrests for failure to disperse and very few (if any) for arson, assault, or looting? There are plenty of videos from here of people who did none of those things being gassed, shot at, tackled and arrested, some even when they are attempting to follow police commands.

Ironic b/c we were happy when our local Dicks Sporting goods got rid of guns due to the events in Parkland 2 years ago.

It may be planned as peaceful but the issue is Antifa/BLM/etc will show up and start rioting.
These groups organize and pay people $20 an hour to riot and destroy courtesy of Soros

I would not be anywhere near the "peaceful protest" I live in the suburbs so nothing will be happening near me

All will be in downtown Boston, unfortunately the police will have their hands full tonight with Antifa and the like because
Marty Walsh does not let the police do what they need to do as he is another weak, Democrat mayor.

The cops just stood around and really did nothing where the riots were going on, they were all on the streets where nothing much was going on
Tonight should be more of the same as Antifa is hanging around on Boston Common all day waiting for night fall
