Gotta admit, Trump stepped out of line on this one

I like Trump overall but he is oversstepping his authority by threatening to send troops to cities. That is a governor decision to make, not his. I respect what Trump brings to the table but he needs to respect how our government . Wish he was just a little sharper on the law

He will have public support . most people want laws to be enforced.

1) Governors own their respective state National Guard troops not Trump.

2) Trump owns Title 10 Federal Active Duty forces.

3) Title 10 Active Duty forces cannot perform LE duties on U.S. Citizens. It's against the law.

AD Forces cannot perform LE duties. They can assist doing other work to free up police officers or national guard members but that's it. This was done to prevent the Commander in Chief from turning his forces on his own people. The U.S. Military would decline such orders to perform LE duties in states across the country.
