The latest night of protests in New York City sparked by the death of George Floyd at the hands of police was markedly calmer, while video of a police officer appearing to shove an elderly protester who falls and cracks his head in Buffalo drew widespread condemnation. Video from WFBO showed a Buffalo police officer appearing to push the 75-year-old man who walked up to police clearing Niagara Square around the 8 p.m. curfew Thursday. The man falls straight backward and hits his head on the pavement, with blood leaking out as officers walk past. The video quickly went viral on social media, spurring outrage. Buffalo police initially said in a statement that a person "was injured when he tripped & fell," WIVB-TV reported, but Capt. Jeff Rinaldo later told the TV station that an internal affairs investigation was opened. The police commissioner subsequently suspended two police officers without pay, Mayor Byron Brown said in a statement. The mayor of the western New York city, who expressed he was "deeply disturbed" by the video, said the unidentified man was in "stable but serious" condition at a hospital.
The victim is hospitalized, he is not in a nursing home. So either you are listening to lies or you are making up lies. The original report said the man tripped. After the video was released, the attackers were suspended without pay. So those police are also liars. While you may have been too much of a pussy to ever be on the same side of the police when it comes to your job, you can be proud to know you are on the same side of a few cops when it comes to complete dishonesty.
I would liked to see this video start 1 to 2 minutes earlier and see what led up to this.
The reason i say this is that last weekend in Fort Lauderdale, at a certain time, the cops told everyone to clear out. If you were in the cops way, the cops would push you down. The cops would take a few steps every minute or 2. Of course a few "jokers" didnt get out of the way and the cops pushed them down. I was on "team police".
On this video, it looks like the same thing. The way these officers were walking were the same way the FLPD were walking last sunday nite. I wonder if they told the guy to move and he didnt. It also looks like the guy touched the cop and the cop pushed him for 1) touching him and 2) being in the way.
Not sure who is guilty or not. They need to see if that cop has had complaints against him or not. The cop should be SUSPENDED WITH PAY for a few days as they investigate.
