I will post all Xfinity and NASCAR Cup selections For Talladega in this thread. Hope to keep things going, as I am 20-6 (+15.00 units) since the delay due to COVID-19.

I say hope because Superspeedway racing gets a little crazy. There will be at least one big wreck, perhaps more. If it comes down to a late caution, and or to a Green/White/Checkered in OT, it usually becomes mayhem. Hopefully my pattern sticks as I have done poorly at Daytona, but for whatever reason I have done well at Talladega.

Most head-to-head matchups listed in both Xfinity and NASCAR Cup are pretty much pick'ems. I am looking at a few selections I lean toward in both races.

In the Xfinity Unhinged 300 @ 5:30 today there will be a first time winner as the Field is wide open. The only driver who has won this race in the past is "Old Veteran" Joe Nemechek with wins in 1998 and 2000. He does not have the youth or equipment to win today.

On Sunday the NASCAR Cup Geico 500 will run @ 3:00. Of note the Penske drivers (Keselowski, Logano and Blaney) have won 8 of the last 11 races here.

I will post any selections 1 hour prior to each race. Thanks for kind words in my Threads and those who have sent PM's to me. Hope to keep the success going. No matter what you decide...Good Luck.

Cheers!

Indy, hope your out did have the matchup. Allmendinger sat back all day and then was positioned in the front row with about 25 laps to go but he got shuffled into the middle lane for some reason and lost 12-14 positions. He got back to 4th with two laps to go but could not continue the charge. Haley won the damn race anyway.

The lineup for the race was determined by a random draw, with results airing on FS1’s “Race Hub.” The parameters for the draw were as follows:

  • Positions 1-12 determined by a random draw from charter teams in those positions in team owner points
  • Positions 13-24: Random draw among charter teams in those positions in owner points
  • Positions 25-36: Random draw among charter teams in those positions in owner points
  • Positions 37-40: will be filled out by open, non-chartered teams in order of owner points
Here is a look at the full lineup:

I am looking at a potential play or two, but again Superspeedway racing always gets crazy at a point or two or more. One well respected NASCAR Cup capper I know is on Logano for the win. He sits about 10-1 this morning.

Interesting to note, but not surprising, is that Elliott, Keselowski and Blaney have seen arguably the most money come in on them to grab the win.

Mosi.......BOL with your play.....on this with you........indy

Sorry about that Indy. The timing simply did fall right for Logano. No excuses. It was an end to an epic Talladega for me...Picked one matchup in each race and both drivers I went against won the race. Unbelievable.

Had Stenhouse not tapped Almirola's bumper right near the line he would have won the race.Never seen a race that crazy at the line where the 3rd place car finished driving backward.

Overall quite an emotional Talladega extended weekend. It is a crazy time in America every day. There is a lot of good happening, yet there are a lot of bad and confusing actions occurring.
