Austrian Grand Prix kicks off the F1 Season finally @ 9:10 AM on ESPN:
Over seven months since the last race, Formula One finally returns with the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday.

Lewis Hamilton begins the defence of his drivers' championship from second place on the grid after Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas pipped him to pole position.

Max Verstappen is third and will lead the charge for Red Bull, with a strategy ace up his sleeve as he goes searching for a third consecutive win at the circuit in Spielberg.

With only eight races confirmed for the 2020 season at this stage, drivers know every outing counts and the pressure is on in a shortened campaign.

WHAT HAPPENED IN QUALIFYING:
Bottas held on to take pole by just 0.012 seconds, despite finding the gravel on his second flying lap. Hamilton was investigated by stewards for allegedly not slowing down under yellow flags caused by his team-mate's incident, but no further action was taken.

The gap to Mercedes' rivals was huge, with Verstappen 0.538s back in third, as Lando Norris claimed a superb fourth for McLaren.

It was a session to forget for Ferrari, though, with Charles Leclerc almost one second behind in seventh and Sebastian Vettel down in 11th after missing out on Q3 entirely.

THE STARTING GRID:
1. Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes)
2. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)

There are three legitimate drivers who have a chance o win this race, the two Mercedes, Bottas +150 and Hamilton +120, and Verstappen +400 for Red Bull. To look outside of these three it would only make sense to look at Red Bull teammate Albon +4000, or the Ferrari team, LeClerc +5000 and Vettel +6600.

Austrian GP Race Winner
Hamilton (44) +120

Best driver all-round, best equipment with Mercedes, best team technically and strategically until proven otherwise. His teammate, Bottas is definitely a concern, as is 2 time defending race champion, Verstappen.

Head-to-Head
Norris (4) -160 vs. Sainz (55)
Again never a fan of taking any favorite more than 130 with few exceptions. Racing and Formula One in particular lead to my few exceptions. It is a bit more of a risk being the first race of the season but I have confidence Lando Norris is gong to show steady improvement on the F1 circuit this season in his second season. He had a very nice qualifying run (4th) and finished 6th here last year. If he understands his place with the big dogs at the start he should settle in nicely with an outside chance t see the Podium. and at the least score some very nice points to kick off the season.

Mosi.....BOL with your play buddy.......indy

Thanks Indy. Hit the Lando Norris play from start to finish and he ended up 3rd overall. It was a better finish than I expected and the best of his young career. Taking a McLaren to a podium is amazing. He has a bright future.

As far as Hamilton, he was accessed a penalty from qualifying from Saturday within 45 minutes of the race. Absolutely ridiculous, and I would not have made the play if I knew he was being penalized from starting on the grid 2nd to 5th, In Formula One that is a huge difference. I cannot believe that F1 was somehow pressured into making this decision so close to the race. It is ridiculous. And to the F1 Sports Investment Community it is criminal.
