Even though Collegiate Football may not even be played at all this Fall, what about Notre Dane winning it all?
If the Power 5 align and they all only play conference games, where does that leave Semi-Independent Notre Dame. This would drop Arkansas, Wisconsin, Stanford and USC from their schedule. Most likely they will figure out how to play Navy, and perhaps Western Michigan if the MAC wants money.
So do they then keep their part-time 6 game deal with the ACC going or do they go all in with the ACC? Currently they have Wake, Pitt, Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville and uh oh, Clemson on their ACC slate.
If they keep their current ACC deal, Navy and W. Michigan they would need to pick up at least a couple of games. Seeing that many non Power 5 teams are being cut out the Irish could grab some winnable home games against lesser opponents looking for a payday to survive.
So outside of Clemson who would be a threat to the Irish? And if Trevor Lawerence decides he cannot risk his professional career who knows.
The Irish roughly +2500? Not that crazy in the New World.
