Never been unemployed in his life, totally upset but I'll help find him a job. I got his back, it's my purpose in life

This is what the Manholes and the X-Holes of this world are being used for to achieve, they just can't see the world from under their beds in mommy's basement. They simply have no idea

40 years with the company, 26 weeks severance and two weeks of health insurance

You're a good man and friend Willie.

Job losses like that can be devastating to a person. I've personally never cared about any particular job I've had, as I've mostly made money working for myself, but many people put their whole life into a career.

THere are devastating stories like this all around the country. They are little people and have no voice.

And the liberal politicians and media could care less.

My heart goes out to that guy and the millions more who are falling by the wayside because of deliberate government policies.

The pandemic is not the problem. People get sick all the time and have since the beginning of time. Some die.

The problem is the government response to the pandemic.

It's true, this hits close to home because our wives are two peas in a pod and hence we socialize all the time.

He's a true friend, a good man, a good father, a good grandfather, just a solid person in every way imaginable. But there are millions of such people in this world

And not just people losing their jobs, businesses are going to start closing, peoples' entire lives are going to evaporate, damages from destroying our economy will far outweigh anything COVID-19 can do

Democrats and their media don't care, they want the White House at any cost. Many are cheerleaders for a recession, because has Bill Maher said, "we can survive a recession and that's the only way to beat Trump"

Of course a piece of shit like Bill Maher has no idea how a recession ruins lives, he lives in an ivory tower

Hope your buddy lands a job quickly. To last in a company for 40years is a long time. Sounds like a loyal stand up guy . Hopefully he’s got a decent Retirement to eventually get to. One of these days my wife and I will take the ferry to new London and head to Mohegan eat a meal watch a game maybe a pats game . I’m hoping to head out to Vegas and sign up with trends just waiting on the quarantine bs to lift fearing the return registry will implicate me from being able to work “by myself”

Wow, we lost him his job, but only may have saved his life, eh? Gee, i bet he wishes that was reversed & he may be dead, but still has his job.

Actually, blame it on the slow lousy response to C-19 which was not early or extreme enough. And blame it on the irresponsible who refuse to follow social distancing, mask up, etc.. And if this guy is now broke & was working for 50 years & didn't save, i wouldn't hold him entirely blameless, either. Oh, and people who lose jobs often find another one, or even a better one. I hear there are openings in the mask making industry.

Inside sales manager, international industrial supplies company, knows the industry inside and out

I happen to have a smaller industrial supplies company as a client, and the owners are thinking about interviewing him

I also have manufacturing companies where I think he can find a mutually beneficial fit. I wouldn't ask for anything that wasn't mutually beneficial

I have a great relationship with these companies, I make introductions and ask them to make their own decisions based on what's best for their businesses. But I will go out on a limb just a little.

If none of that works out, I might suggest some different options

Sad to hear. Going to be tough for someone in their late 50s early 60s to find work unless they have specialized skills or friends to hook them up. Hopefully he ends up in a better spot.

And the hyperbole continues with a lack of empathy on top. Yep, a real piece of shit. This is beyond being a troll.

Wow, some guy lost his job after having one for at least 40 years. Big deal. There are people starving to death every day. Where's your empathy for them.
