I've said it for 2 months, I would be shocked if they get thru the season. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Does anyone really think Miami will be the only team hit with this??

Good luck with football this season.

Players wouldn't agree to a bubble. NHL, NBA and MLB are all going to do nothing, but screw up the schedule for next season too. NHL has a chance to be successful, but the selfish, self-absorbed NBA players will never make it through without a visit from their favorite ho or a trip to the strip club for wings. Hate to see football impacted, but it is not looking good.

THey are destroying many aspects of the country by making people scared shitless of a virus that only affects those with compromised immune systems. Shelter those people and let the rest of the country go back to 2019 normal.

THe consequences of this bs are going to turn our country upside down. Mark my words.

I don't want to turn this into a political debate, so I'll just say this.

Here is what is wrong with this line of thinking. It only affects those with compromised immune systems. There have been healthy people die from this. Go to ESPN and find the article on the baseball coach that just died, 30 years old.

But lets assume it just affects only those with compromised immune systems.

The more people that contact this, the more likely it is that it will spread to someone with a compromised immune system. This virus is highly contagious.

For those that do get it, it affects their organs going forward. It isn't like the common flu, where you get rid of it and go on your merry way.

Healthy people die from this.

Are older people more likely to die from COVID?? Of course they are, its a virus that attacks your respiratory functions. But it doesn't discriminate, and the fact we have a guy in charge of the country that for months downplayed the severity of this hasn't helped one bit.

I take it you don’t know too many nhl players. They are far bigger partiers than nba players. The difference is they can go out in public without being recognized as most Americans don’t watch hockey. The strip clubs and hookers in Canada are going to make a fortune off the players.

I think the hockey players care a lot more about the game, but you are right, I only know a couple who are LV based...not big partiers, but married, which I know, probably doesn't make that big of a difference.

Just for balance, the flu kills a lot of healthy people too. This is worse than the flu, but the mortality doesn't match the response.

A new study shows that more than 40 percent of flu-infected kids who die have no other chronic health problems.

"Many people don't recognize that a healthy child could be at risk for these severe complications," Dr. Karen Wong, the study's lead author, said.

October 2004-2012, the CDC has kept track of the number of flu-related deaths among U.S. children and teens. During that time, there were 830 flu-related deaths among people younger than 18 years old.

The average age of the children who died was seven years old, but 40 percent of the deaths occurred among children between nine and 17 years old.

"We saw newborns and teenagers," Wong said. "So any age can really be at risk."
