Someone posted how much they hate when people follow their picks and lose. Thats me!!!

That is why you will rarely see me tout huge plays or make daily picks.

Somehow, I manage to stay above water with crazy bets at what I usually think are good spots. I have no time for records but I do lose a lot.

It's worked for me so far.

Did u guys know the Cards coach never played in the majors? That can't be a long list.

This oughta get interesting....

Wash Gnats voted and DO NOT want to go play their upcoming series in MIAMI. How do u think this shit affects the players??

Quite a few successful managers never played in the majors including Joe Maddon, Jim Leyland, and Buck Showalter, but they all at least played in the minors for several years. Schildt never played past college ball at UNC Ashville, so that is definitely a rarity.

As a Cubs fan, I only knew about Maddon, but looked up the rest. Earl Weaver is another one who never made it to the majors, but played in the minors. I think the guys who played in the minors still had a leg up over Schildt, based on contacts they made along the way. Maddon played for years in the Angels minor league organization, and got his first job as a scout for the Angles. young

I hear you on getting older. I'm turning 59 in December. I still feel reasonably young, and long term memory is fine, but my short term recall is definitely not the same.

Good luck on the plays today. Mills has showed some potential for the Cubs.

How bout that. Maddon is awesome, just missed meetin him in Hazleton once a few years ago. That would've been pretty cool.
I'll be 53 in Jan and can relate to memory issues. I've had a bit of head trauma tho, some my own doin:Carcajada:
