SEC- Conference Only

SEC announced they will be playing a conference only schedule, as I would expect every conference will be doing. The 10-game schedule is set to begin in late September (I believe is 26th) with the Conference Championship game scheduled for December 19th.

It is going to be an interesting season to say the least... I am just hoping we can get through the season without shutting it down. The Marlins situation is making me think it may be a long-shot.

I agree 100% on your 2nd paragraph. I would be surprised if season is finished and pretty soon we will begin to see a handful of top draft eligible players decide to sit.

Alabama high schools started playing on Thursday and Friday with little to
no problems. I'm hoping this continues and leads into a good college season.

SEC teams are now practicing and getting ready to open the season.

Meanwhile, in Michigan high school football has been deemed "High Risk" for COVID and moved to spring. ALL other fall high school sports OK to proceed. Figure that one out???

Our Governor had rules earlier in pandemic like you can go out in boat, but no motor. You can go to Home Depot, but flooring and patio area roped off, no admittance. Not surprised no high school football. It's dark times don't ya know!

Michigan has a COVID positivity rate less than 1/2 of Alabama's current 7.3% rate.

BIG10 moved to spring, yet BIG10 Commissioner's son will play at Mississippi St. this year. Mississippi has one of the highest positivity rates in the country.

Do I sound disgruntled???? ##)

As a Huskers fan, I feel the pain of not playing this fall. I feel worse for the Ohio St. fans. They might have one of their best teams they have had for years but wont get that chance to play for a playoff spot. I honestly think the Big 10 expected every other conference to follow suite and postpone this season. I'm happy the 3 of the 5 power conferences decided to play. I hope the 3 conferences play and have no issues. IMO, Kevin Warren needs to be fired!!

Season will be played in full. B10 has egg on their face as a conference. Sad thing is they brought and placed politics ahead of these kids and fans.

Thankfully people in the south and out in B12 country have some bls left. It's really sad for the players.
