Not one positive COVID test. Is this real life?

Has X-Files infiltrated the football program at UCONN? I mean, I realize UCONN's team has been canceled for years now but this is official.

The RX Doom and Gloomers will applaud this action despite less than 0.001% of anyone under the age of 65 dying from COVID.

You have a better chance of dying from a shark attack than you do dying of COVID. As a matter of fact, I saw Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Goebert play in an NBA game recently after they recovered from COVID.

Yet, this thing is deadly?

Remember this, more than half of all reported COVID deaths come from nursing homes in NY/Michigan/Pennsylvania. Those three governors should be in prison for making those decisions.

Enfuego makes his decisions to do what is best for Enfuego. UConn makes a decision that is best for UConn. So what's the problem?

Because they are not basing decisions based on science. They are basing their decisions on how they feel which is what a typical liberal does.

So, what happens to all these kids going into their Senior year at UCONN? The school has robbed them of the opportunity to compete based on no positive COVID tests. So tell me, why was this decision made?

The UConn football program has had a decade of mistakes and miserable results.

This just creates even more uncertainty for the program and the recruits moving forward.

I'm guessing being an independent this year killed them. They were probably having a hard time keeping their schedule

And what about the kids there that are ready to play? What happens to them?

If I'm right, what the fuck is the school supposed to do if everyone is going to conference only schedules?

It's out of their hands

Since there's an excellent chance the BOR at UConn take counsel from internet sports forum threads, this is the perfect place to methodically present for the 1000th time your disbeliefs pertaining to the COVID19 pandemic

I mean, if you have scientific evidence that disproves anything I've said here, I'm all ears. Liberals make decisions off feelings.

Disprove anything I've said instead of trying to insult me. That's a good start.

Barbanman knows nothing, and it's unlikely this decision was directly about anything COVID-19 related

This is the same shyt Patfans was talking about. You come in and ask a dumb Azz question to the forum and Uconn clearly states why they made their decision. So why ask folks at the Rx why, when you can read Uconn statement?

definitely WuFlu related...has nothing to do with their athletic dept being the most highly subsidized school in the country losing >$40M yr with football being the largest deficit contributor.

I have no motivation to disprove anything to you personally

If you believe the worldwide responses to COVID19 are 100% driven by 'liberal emotions' you should shout it to the rooftops

Reasonably confident the less than 50 men who frequent Rxforum know where you stand so it might increase your impact if you expanded it a bit wider

Start a thread on reddit....And bang the shit out of facebook too so as to counter all the Soros-financed libtards who are working in lockstep w worldwide media to bring down Don Trump

White shoe polish is good for painting loud attention-getting messages on your car windows

Go to the UConn campus (actually any college campus should work as they are all steaming Marxist cesspools working to overthrow America) and exhort everyone you see to throw off their sheeple masks and frolic together on the quad. After all their only true risk is having to overcome a "case of the sniffles"

Video any and all of your efforts and post to youtube for even more education of the brainwashed libtards

OR do none of that and instead be the anti-Xfiles and give us a minimum 50 more threads in next couple months reminding us how foolish & ignorant we all are if we respect the moves made by medical and business professionals wrt how they choose to manage their own affairs

You can't go wrong!

It is certainly puzzling when anyone (enfuego not alone) comes into this forum read by about 40 people and seeks "answers" for actions taken far far afield from anyone who uses this website

I didn't ask anybody anything in my initial post. I certainly wouldn't ask you anything. I posted the info because it's relevant but let's talk about UCONN's reasoning for canceling the season. This is what their statement says:

"The safety challenges created by COVID-19 place our football student-athletes at an unacceptable level of risk."

"The necessary measures needed to mitigate risk of football student-athletes contracting the coronavirus are not conducive to delivering an optimal experience for our team,"

So, essentially, the NBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, European Soccer and all other Division I programs can do this but UCONN can't? Do you see why this is a stupid decision? Not to mention there is next to 0% risk for anyone under 65. Now, instead of insults, counter this argument with some facts not feeling.
