At a glance, I would reverse #5 LSU and #10 Notre Dame. ND's schedule almost guarantees
them a top 5 finish. LSU will be good, but they lost much of the talent responsible for its NC.
Start with the QB, replacing four on the OL, leading rusher, 5 of the top 8 receivers. Add in
a new DC and new passing coordinator. Combining graduation and early departures (8 NFL)
will pose some problems for Big O this season. Oh yeah, everybody will be up for the NCs.

^ curious to know when the coaches or SID’s voted on this?

I’m more of a fan of the AP poll over coaches (yeah yeah, I like the media)

Alabama is ranked outside the top two for the first time since 2015.

LSU is the first defending national champion to be ranked outside the
preseason top four since Clemson in 2017.

Both schools are replacing All-American quarterbacks.
