The Mob

Regular street gangs

Cartel

#1 Cartel - No fucking boundaries or loyalty.
#2 The Mob - They'll smile and kill you but at least there is some loyalty.
#3 Biker Gangs - They are thugs but actually do do some good things too.
#4 Street Gangs - Intimidators only. Can't even site a gun or reload properly. Don't venture outside their 2-3 block radius.

I did gambling business with a mob family(Italian) for about 25 years. It was exactly how a smooth operation is supposed to be run. Never had anything even resembling a problem and I was throwing in 3 to 5k bets in football season every week. If a whale wanted to take a shot the briefcase was loaded with the 50k or whatever and we would watch it together at his dump of a house. Really the old style mob can't even be compared to any other crime outfit in my opinion.
I used to take nba action from drug dealers for a while and settled daily because their life is in jeopardy every day and they were ok with that. They were for the most part very honorable and appreciative that they could get down a big number. Sometimes they would hand me 40 or 60k and say I want to bet off this for awhile. I pulled the plug when one of their hothead brethren from California lost 60k and showed up at our local poker club with 4 shotguns and robbed everybody. One bad apple but I am out.
Bikers always struck me as too undisciplined and wild so I tended to avoid them plus they didn't seem to gamble all that much.
Cartel guys I know nothing about.
