Open Letter To NFL Players. The Boycott is coming

You graduated high school in 2011. Your teenage years were a struggle.

You grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. Your mother was the leader of the family and worked tirelessly to keep a roof over your head and food on your plate.

Academics were a struggle for you and your grades were mediocre at best. The only thing that made you stand out is you weighed 225 lbs. and could run 40 yards in 4.2 seconds while carrying a football. Your best friend was just like you, except he didn’t play football. Instead of going to football practice after school, he went to work at McDonalds for minimum wage.

You were recruited by all the big colleges and spent every weekend of your senior year making visits to universities where coaches and boosters tried to convince you their school was best. They laid out the red carpet for you. Your best friend worked double shifts at Mickey Ds. College was not an option for him.

On the day you signed with Big State University, your best friend signed paperwork with his Army recruiter. You went to summer workouts.

He went to basic training.

You spent the next four years living in the athletic dorm, eating at the training table. You spent your Saturdays on the football field, cheered on by adoring fans. Tutors attended to your every academic need.

You attended class when you felt like it. Sure, you worked hard. You lifted weights, ran sprints, studied plays, and soon became one of the top football players in the country.

Your best friend was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. While you were in college, he deployed to Iraq once and Afghanistan twice. He became a Sergeant and led a squad of 19 year-old soldiers who grew up just like he did. He shed his blood in Afghanistan and watched young American's give their lives, limbs, and innocence for the US.

You went to the NFL combine and scored off the charts. You hired an agent and waited for draft day. You were drafted in the first round and your agent immediately went to work, ensuring that you received the most money possible. You signed for $16 million although you had never played a single down of professional football.

Your best friend re-enlisted in the Army for four more years. As a combat tested sergeant, he will be paid $32,000 per year.

You will drive a Ferrari on the streets of South Beach. He will ride in the back of a Blackhawk helicopter with 10 other combat loaded soldiers.

You will sleep at the Ritz. He will dig a hole in the ground and try to sleep. You will “make it rain” in the club. He will pray for rain as the temperature reaches 120 degrees.

On Sunday, you will run into a stadium as tens of thousands of fans cheer and yell your name.

For your best friend, there is little difference between Sunday and any other day of the week. There are no adoring fans. There are only people trying to kill him and his soldiers. Every now and then, he and his soldiers leave the front lines and “go to the rear” to rest. He might be lucky enough to catch an NFL game on TV.

When the National Anthem plays and you take a knee, he will jump to his feet and salute the television. While you protest the unfairness of life in the United States, he will give thanks to God that he has the honor of defending his great country.

To the players of the NFL: We are the people who buy your tickets, watch you on TV, and wear your jerseys. We anxiously wait for Sundays so we can cheer for you and marvel at your athleticism. Although we love to watch you play, we care little about your opinions until you offend us.

You have the absolute right to express yourselves, but we have the absolute right to boycott you.

We have tolerated your drug use and DUIs, your domestic violence, and your vulgar displays of wealth. We should be ashamed for putting our admiration of your physical skills before what is morally right.

But now you have gone too far. You have insulted our flag, our country, our soldiers, our police officers, and our veterans. You are living the American dream, yet you disparage our great country. I encourage all like-minded Americans to boycott the NFL.

National boycott of the NFL for Sunday November 15, 2020 “Veterans Day“ Weekend. Boycott all football telecast, all fans, all ticket holders, stay away from attending any games, let them play to empty stadiums.

Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, some of whom come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.

Therese M LeMay

You have 23 hours and 57 minutes a day to protest every injustice you can think of.
For 3 minutes, be human. Recognise that some people have sacrificed more than you ever will.

Hey london2k,
If you think about it, bump this before that weekend.

I have no problem not watching that weekend.

Would have been interesting to see attendance at games had COVID not been around...

it was never about the knee. It was about the whole thing being forced down our throats by networks. pissed off viewers. ad revenue goes down. Owners lose money. If I'm paying a guy $5 mil a year, and his social cause effects my income, that's it. Done deal. you can't do it....unless you want to take a pay cut for your social cause, do what the guy who is paying you wants. its that simple

Just last night I think it was in Major League Soccer, a game between Dallas and Nashville, the players kneeled during the national anthem and almost all of the fans started booing them. So as much as the media or people on twitter want to make everyone think lots of people are backing them it is actually quite the opposite.

I guess you just don't get it. Taking a knee has nothing to do with how much respect one has for his country or flag. You're obviously not a person of color whose life is at risk every time a cop pulls you over. If you were, you might have a chance of understanding. Remember the 8+ minutes that knee was on George Floyds neck? Stop and think for 8+ minutes and maybe it will sink in. I know the kneeling started long before this incident, but there have been countless others. Get back after the 8 mins.

Selectrick some would say your misinformed on our National Anthem, and some would say the people of color who usually have no fathers Growing up and hardly know right from wrong and don’t know how to respect bosses, teachers, or police officers Later in life. Almost every video out there suspect doesn’t listen to basic commands, there entitled to flee resist because they have priors and don’t want to go back to prison.

How does that result in 8+ minutes kneeling on a handcuffed mans neck? Does 7 bullets in a mans back do that much more to stop him than say , one or two? You can attempt to deny racism in the world , but it only makes you look like the one who is misinformed.

you make some valid points, but in the heat of the moment or actually knee deep in the shit these cops face with the little training they get, its like being in a car accident, its pure adrenaline, I believe , hard to remember what happened, you just react to save your on life. there will always be some form of racism for years to come,

Taking a knee to the flag? Nobody should care. Taking a knee is a sign of submission and/or show of respect. Personally, Kap was too stupid to really know what he was doing.

This American black men are being killed and hunted by cops is BS
Being an American Black and fear for life by cops is BS
Being a cop is 100% BS job.
The entire world knows just exactly how to handle these situations we see
Yet, all these “make a difference” “bring change” “all you had to do” idiots could easily make a career change but don’t
“I know how to fix climate change” but not my job, not my problem (therefore others should)
Accoutability of actions is never preached except towards cops
Compliance is never a discussion point of a certain party
Real time shit doesn’t play out the same way after the fact observers see it

American black culture has different groups
”Hood/Ghetto” Blacks don’t hate police like soo many think
They make it a game and culture. And respect the game
Blacks are the most racists and the “they have a right to be” comeback is a hypocritical BS excuse

All these signaling, let my voice be heard, I’m so woke, I care soo much and this is how you handle and/or fix so called problems are clueless of reality. I challenge all go be a cop, go protest BLM in atrue black community, go volunteer time in the true black community. Then come back and let me know how that worked out for you. These Washington protests, take it to Greenmont or Cherry or Harbour and so many other of these streets in Baltimore. And again, come back and tell me how that worked out.

And to all these “I’m so in touch with the world” white peoples! You have no idea true black community culture. Take your empathetic ass into the real community and watch how quick they eat you alive and see right through your BS. It’s a different culture, different world and unless you understand it you can’t enjoy or appreciate your time in it. You don’t learn or become in touch with it by a single visit or couple days. Even though 99% wouldn’t last 3 minutes.

My favorite is always “if that were a black man cops would have shot him.” That’s because all you see is one side that’s given to you and what they want you to believe is the case. And it’s a very very small sample of isolated incidents with underlying variables. Again, go spend some time in true black community. Watch how much BS you see and say in your head “damn they should have just shot that fool.” Listen to all the other suspense, laughter and vocal “they should have shot that nigga” community bystanders. That’s the thousands of incidents that happen each day which don’t result in police hunting and shooting some innocent black man.

What would all these white people in a so called ghetto, do if they heard “jeeps riding” and got flagged down by someone on the sidewalk and asked if they got a biscuit? Anybody in the woke NFL forum know the response to this?

Misinformed Hahahaha, oh the comedy and in touch souls of the world. Bless their hearts.

NFL (& NBA) blatantly support a terrorist group that:

 • Was involved, instrumental in destroying, burning > a billion dollars in property? Thus, businesses closed, jobs. lost
 • Injuring > 2,000 innocent citizens and police officers?
 • Looting, stealing hundreds of millions of dollars in products?
 • Killing est 25 people in the process (Capt Dorn!)
 • tearing down, destroying statues and memorials of our brave leaders of the past?
 • Concedes it is a Marxist org?
 • Wants to end the "nuclear" family as we know it?
 • Abolish the police?
 • Abolish ICE?
 • Abolish DHS?
 • Close federal prisons?

NOBODY asks them this.

NOBODY puts it on the line.

A thousand interviews, and NOBODY even touches this...

THAT is the problem.

Population is not the benchmark....crime is. You can't take two different populations....one which commits a much higher rate of violence and interacts with cops at a higher rate and use population. When the number who are killed along with interactions and a higher rate of murders and violent offenders being black the cops interact with ....the disparity disappears. In fact whites are killed at a higher rate. Blacks resist 4 times the rate. I look forward to your dumb reply

This post right here is the main problem. This opinion you shared is just a flat out lie.

The RATE in which unarmed black people are killed by police is LOWER than that of unarmed white people. The facts are facts.

Why we keep perpetuating this obvious lie is beyond me.
