Is it me or does this runner starting on 2nd thing totally favor the road team getting the first shot to score?? Be curious to know the record of home/away teams in extra's this season so far.....to me seems it favors the road team big time getting the first crack at it they score majority of the time
Actually I think it favors the home team. Similar to NCAAF. Teams always choose defense first.
If you know what the other team did first, you can adjust your strategy based on what they did.
If they didn't score, you bunt and try to get a small ball run. If they scored multiple runs you know you can't waste an out.

I see that.....but noticed a very very high % of the time the away team who gets the first crack ends up scoring first that's why I'm wondering....like yesterday TX/SD...Tx scored first yes they lost on a grand slam which is rare, but point is they scored. Again tonight with Toronto they put up 2 top of 10th
