Hahaha......i was at Rivers Casino earlier today, and i shared this play with a few people.....they were like......DAMN YOUR TENNIS PLAYS ARE REALLY GOOD!!!!!!! Now they want all the action. Both of them put a TON on this OVER. I told them don't go crazy, but they said, I TRUST YOU WITH THIS!!! The end result was priceless.

My bookie is like how the hell do you know so much about tennis? I watch ALL THE GRAND SLAMS royally and I also follow the smaller tournaments. Hey, some people may consider it a "bitch sport" or whatever they have to say about it, but i'd like to see those people get on a tennis court and hit a ball over the net, lol. I have seen the juniors play, college level players, and of course the professional level.

Funny story, 1 of my friend's from NY just recently played this chick that plays at the college level. He plays tennis weekly. He got KILLED!!! 6-1, 6-1. This just shows you the LEVELS OF TENNIS. He always wanted to see how he'd measure up against a college level player.... "Just fking remarkable how much power AND control they have." His exact words.

This SPORT is INCREDIBLE and a ton of $$$ to be made, if you know it well.

    HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Thanks again for the plays. I've followed and played the sport for years, I became interested when Arthur Ashe won the first US Open, and, although my rooting for them gradually lessened over time because of their behavior, followed Connors and Johnny Mac. Rarely had any great success betting, except for while about 10 years ago working with a guy who could bet in game, while I was at the event, if you get my drift. I attended several matches at Indian Wells among other places. They had $30 parking and $8 bottles of water. I took my ass and parked a half mile away, got a couple of bottles from the 7/11, and smuggled them in. I saw a brightly colored coupon on the ground that said, "$500 off of facial!!!" The 3 exclamation point clearly indicated that they though that it was the Bargain of the Century, but that begged the question, "$500 OFF, how much is the goddamn facial?!?!"

LOL at the facial comment, that's hilarious. Smart move by doing what you do at Indian Wells.

So i was supposed to go to NYC last year for the US Open, and unfortunately some things got in the way. Was on the verge of buying US Open tickets for 2020, to go with the same group of people (that i know in NY), but then we all know what hit the world.

I'm excited to come for the US Open, crossing my fingers for 2021!!! I don't want to miss the greats of right now (Fed, Djoko, & Rafa). THIS is the opportunity for me to go see them live.

Good luck this weekend, DF! Thanks for following along the $$$ Tennis Train!!! CHOO CHOO!!!

No, thank YOU! Growing up in NYC, I went a few times to the old Forest Hills until they switched, in 1978, if memory serves. Used to be able to get good, cheap seats the first few rounds. I lived in Jamaica Estates in Queens during first marriage, but, by then, they had gotten too pricey for me, lol.

I lived in Vegas the first time from '75 to '76, and remember watching hte '75 Open on TV in horror: first of all, I've never been a big clay court fan, and for 3 years, the Open was on Har-Tru, not even real clay. Then Orantes falls two sets down to Vilas, saves several match points, and goes on to win. Rumor was he didn't get to bed till about 3 a.m., and even without that, Connors was a huge favorite, don't remember the line, but I bet it. JC was so overconfident, it wasn't funny, try to blast Orantes off the court, on dirt, when his rest edge would probably have kicked in during a long match-only it wasn't long, ugh. Obviously engaging in long rallies wasn't Jimbo's style, but, I haven't forgotten it since, lol.
