MistaFlava's 2020 NHL Playoff Record: 0-0 (+0.00 Units)

I have not posted NHL plays all season but I've been doing some wagering myself and been very profitable this post-season. I'll be posting from now until end of the Stanley Cup Finals. Not a popular sport on the RX Forum but some money to be made.

Good luck to everyone!

Western Conference Semi-Finals (Game 6)

Colorado Avalanche ML -120 (10 Units)

The Avs are on the brink but they were also on the brink in Game 5 and won that game 6-3. The heavy public money is going to be on Dallas to bounce back and this game to see a ton of goals but I don't really agree and I think Colorado comes out and forced a Game 7. Too much fire power and some of the best players in the NHL, they aren't just going out without a swing.

Michael Hutchinson is back in net for Colorado tonight as pretty much their one and only option with Francouz and Grubauer OUT of commission. He made 31 saves on 34 shots in the last game and the Avs gifted him a sweet 5-0 which was a massive confidence booster. I think Colorado comes out strong again in this one, they blast Dallas with everything they have (the situation in net is getting shakier by the game for the Stars) and although they won't blow Dallas out again, they will keep this a tight game, play better defensively and find a way to grind out goals.

This is an incredible line for a team like Colorado who have 50 wins on the season and who aren't just going out in such a big game. I'm going Avalanche!

Trend of the Game: Colorado has won 44 of their last 63 games on one days rest.

Colorado 3, Dallas 2

Eastern Conference Final - Game 1

Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 +173 (10 Units)

I am such a huge fan of the Islanders and Barry Trotz and their style of play but I think this is a bit of a letdown spot for the Islanders and I'm going with the team I believe will be in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Islanders are coming off an impressive series win over the #1 seeded Philadelphia Flyers and are looking very much like a team that can make noise right to the end. This is actually the first time since 1993 that the Islanders make the Eastern Conference Finals and I think they'll be a little shell shocked to start this one.

Tampa Bay has not played a game of hockey in over a week and they should be well rested and the best player in the Eastern Conference should be back as Nikita Kucherov is expected to be in the lineup. Goaltending wise I give a huge edge to Tampa Bay with Andrei Vasilveskyi who is 10-3 in the playoffs so far with a GAA of 1.91 and a save percentage of .933 in the post-season.

All this talk about the Islanders and have good they have been as underdog but they are 4-12 in their last 16 games as an underdog and were favored in some of the games versus the Flyers in an obvious mismatch. If there is any concern about Tampa Bay and their long rest, they are 7-2 in their last nine games playing on 3+ days rest. I'm going Bolts by 2-3 goals.

Trend of the Game: NY Islanders are only 4-12 in the last 16 meetings.

Tampa Bay 4, NY Islanders 0
