Should Ed Herman's "victory" result in a DQ?

The guy made a mockery of MMA. Acting like a soccer player when he clearly was down and out with a LEGAL knee! What's worse was Bisping defending that abhorrent behaviour. Feel bad for the Rodriguez backers. Surprised I didn't bet on him.

Wasn't his fault. He didn't pretend to get hit in the nuts. He got hurt from the belly shot. The ref just assumed he got hit there and stopped it. Bad call. He did say in the interview after he didn'tknow where he got hit which is a complete lie. He just didn't want to acknowledge he got lucky. Should be a no contest imo if things were fair anyways

LOL, Herman didn't act like anything other than a fighter that got hit with a nice shot. Not his job to stop or not stop the fight. 100% on the ref there.

But furthermore, why are they still not allowed to look at the replay to get it right?

I gotta disagree. It's not his job to stop the fight, but he shouldn't have taken the time to recover! He should have gotten up ASAP just like Smith did and Smith would have won the belt if he stayed down.

Whatever man, sounds nice in Utopia. Dude was hurt pretty bad and was gonna get ko'd if he tried to continue.
Why wouldn't he stay down for as long as possible?

Not Utopia, it's called honour. Martial arts preaches this. Smith could have stayed down and won the belt. He did the honourable thing got up and continued to fight. He was acting like a soccer player grabbing his cup while getting up. He didn't even get hit there.

Honestly they aren't martial artists. They are prize fighters who fight a form of martial arts. Real martial artists would only fight in self defense not for money.
Stop with the honor nonsense when it comes to this sport. It is nice in thought but these guys hurt each other for money and fame
