This doesn't neccessarily mean everyone is on board with supporting the players stances .. Good chance you had a good rating here out of curosity and other factors..I would get a bigger sample size before making any final judgement..

Wow.

Surprised ratings were that high since I know of 11 guys in this forum alone REFUSED to watch.

Imagine how much better those ratings would have been if those 11 guys watched?

For some reason I think it has to do with the greatest player ever switching teams - just a thought though

Yes it had something to do with Brady switching teams and how he would do.

But what about all those people who said "i'm out".

I get i get, they are "out" starting today.

Just like tomorrow i'm starting a new diet and exercise plan
Tomorrow i am going to start giving it 110% at my job so i can get promoted and make more $$
Tomorrow i'm gonna be blah blah blah

You'll be back to eating pizza and ice cream and slacking off at your job in a few days

The ratings will go down if sports continue to inject left wing politics into them.

They will likely not go down enough to affect the pockets of millionaires and billionaires very much.

Next do Thursday night football

Then do Sunday night football

Or just assume one game on fox means viewership is way up

He isn't making the point that viewership is up - he is making the point that all the talks of people abandoning watching football are overblown and that the majority of people are continuing to watch.

Just for the record I never watched even one second of NFL this past week. If you don't think I wanted to watch Brady in Tampa AND Cam Newton in his first Pats appearance you're crazy.

But I refuse to support racism. I don't support the KKK. And I don't support their black counterpart, BLM. There is no room in this country for racial divides from either side.

I stand by my resolve. And I'm not alone.

This has more to do with interest in Brady and his new team.

TV ratings for Sunday night football were down over 15%.

It takes more than one game for a trend to form. :)!/

[h=2]NFL’s Week 1 ratings decline to begin 2020 season[/h]After Thursday’s season-opening clash between the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs drew 19.3 million viewers and a 16.1% drop from the opener in 2019, problems continued for the NFL on Sunday.
According to Deadline.com, Sunday night’s clash between the Rams and Cowboys saw only 14.81 million viewers watch the game.
