[h=1]Wolff takes lead into final round at U.S. Open[/h]DeChambeau just two back as they square off yet againWolff, 21, shot a front-nine 30 on the way to a third-round 65. He will take a two-stroke lead over familiar nemesis Bryson DeChambeau (70) going into the final round on Sunday.
“Collin won at 23,” said Wolff, “I'm 21, and I'm not saying that it's going to happen, but I mean, I put myself in a really good spot, and obviously I'm feeling really good with my game. So I'm just going to keep on doing what I'm doing and whatever happens, happens.”

he's the youngest player to have a 54-hole lead since Tiger Woods (1997 Masters)

if he wins, he'd be the youngest US Open Champion since Jones , 1923!!!!!!

Morikawa at The PGA...Wollf at the US Open?

this is awesome, haha!:

either a Bryson or Wolff win would be a great story. Foreign ground for both, final pairing on a Sunday at a major. its a course that can one easily blow-up on. Wolff shot 74 on Friday. Neirher of these players have the demeanor/experience of say a Koepka in this spot. Hard to predict how either handles this . Bryson does appear calm out there... Bryson is the only guy in the field to not have a round over par. 69-68-70.

Wolff , % of fairways hit this week:
round 1- 43%
round 2- 29%
round 3 - 14% (shot 65..@).)
.....twilght zone shit

where do they put the pins for Championship Sunday? :)

That would be an awesome score!

Looks like from the early scores the usga wants blood, lol

I think Wolff fades today, Bryson is in a glorious spot here

Rooting Rory and Hideki. No money on Rory, likely means he's got a shot lol

crazy crazy crazy. I thought Augusta would suit him best and a US Open layout the worst..yeah okay, lol-- he crushed the field at one of the most brutal tracks in USA!!, only guy under par. The plan worked , Xander pretty much nailed it in his post-round interview; it aint about fairways, its about hitting it crazy long so you can gouge it out with a wedge rather than a 6 iron (no chance). Had the putter going , near deadly from inside 10 feet and kaput.

Louis said he has no idea how they (tournament officails ) can protect a course from him. For fucks sake at 16 he cut the corner and hit driver over the tress , 364 yds later....think he had a 4 shot lead at the time and this guy is trying that?! ...GNF, no fear ....confident dude

Augusta? fuck, par 5 15 and 13? approach maybe with a wedge ...officials got to be a bit concerned , forget those two holes a few of the par 4's he may try cut a corner .

Rory sounded bitter afterwards, as if its unfair, lol...get atta here...

It was amazing .
Golf about to have more steroids then baseball did 10 years ago .

Golf has all of a sudden become one of the most physically demanding sports in the world

But yes it seems like a paradigm shift is taking place in golf just like has happened in baseball with the money ball thing.

could be right. Haven't had this kinda influential force in the game since Woods , Augusta needed to 'Tiger proof ' the course, they added added length to 13 and 15, he was coming in with a wedge in his heyday

few things to ponder tho;
- he can putt. This SIK putter has turned him around, his words. They use a dynamic loft to keep the roll as steady as possible

https://sikgolf.com/

their phones likely going to get busy this week

- to hit it that far (using that crazy clubhead speed) AND his incredible relatively tight shot dispersion ya need a repeatable swing- keep in mind his driver loft is under 6%, OFF THE FUCKIN CHARTS. His one-plane swing (ala Moe Norman) minimizes the number of moving parts. Not sure it will work with another swing-type.
