NFL Scoring after WEEK 2

Turns out to be the highest scoring 2 weeks in the NFL(Average of over 50 Points a Game) in 50 years.

Appears Offensive holding penalties are down a decent amount compared to other years.

League strategy to facilitate scoring? What do you think? :think2:

When I mention in the last 50 years refers to the 1970 merger.

Any other observations from the NFL First 2 weeks?

it's all about 4Q scoring

2010-2019 4Q fell EVERY YEAR between 12.3-13.3 points per game (OT incl)

this year is 17.40 with road teams avg 9.31, home 8.09 ... those are insane numbers and 25% more than expected. Right now no under bet is safe no matter the score after 3rd Q

only two games this year (Rams/Boys, Browns/Balt) have seen less than 10 points scored in 4th

Correction. I looked at the logs for all 32 teams. So I counted twice. Sorry about that.

Me be thinkin mon (and should not be but am);
- lots o scoring continues; don't know why but do; injuries? zebras layin lower in da grass? just not wantin to get in a pile? etc.?
- dogs not only covering at higher than normal clip but also winning outright more often?

me think - soon come - favs trend (overall) back to normalcy - ova's continue in da foreseeable future - it's all da same - pick da winna you got it (mostly); 20% percent of time on your side with dog too. So Sharky; roll da dice.........................
