Wondering what plans the Red Herd has for the likely blue wave on election day, that may result in Democrats controlling the presidency and both houses of congress in 2021?

I realize this is a nightmare scenario for you, but it’s still likely to happen, so how do you hedge your bets against having all your petty hatreds and fears becoming, once again, delegitimized?

What seems clear is hardly a Trump “landslide”, as even his pollsters are telling him, which accounts for his early whining about “massive election fraud”, and suggesting various gambits like begging SCOTUS to give him the win, if he loses on election day. It’s hard to see any fact-based reason to think he can pull off a win, but it’s clear many here do – and I’d really like to be enlightened.

To me, the only – and remote – possibility is if Trump pulls a Covid 19 vaccine out of his major butt, a few days prior to Nov. 3[SUP]rd[/SUP], (which would not be enough time to know if it works or not), and that just might swing enough “undecided” votes his way. It would be a “Comey moment”, that could carry him to a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] term, but that sounds like a long shot.

I look at the polls every damn day, and after his slight convention bounce, Trump’s sagging once again, and Biden seems to pulling further ahead in the swing states – so where does all this optimism come from?

Not true. No poll had trump with 0% chance of winning in 2016. In fact, throwing out the “undecided” from the pre-Wikileaks polls, the actual popular vote counts were pretty much on the money. You’re underestimating the effect Comey’s announcement of a new in investigation into Hillary, three days before the election had on those “undecideds”, which, following Wikileak’s exposure of her corrupt campaign practices, (also an “October surprise”) obliterated her chances of an electoral college win.

Trump will need a similar October surprise (or surprises), because your belief that polls are all hogwash, and that a legion of un-polled, secret voters will magically appear on November 3[SUP]rd[/SUP], and turn a Trump defeat into victory, is the real hogwash.
