Badly needed winning wk. Despite all of the injuries, good ol’ Gase still managed to get blown out by SF. Bridgewater had an awful gm w/poor decision making & little accuracy w/his throws. If he just had an avg gm, CAR would’ve covered because Brady also struggled. GB is showing that they’re the team to beat up North as they slaughtered DET. The Lams took PHI to the woodshed in a well executed gm for Goff & co. Teaser hit w/a little stress from KC almost losing to LAC.
Regular Season POW 1-1, Teasers 1-1, GOY 0-0, Overall 4-6
NE -6 was a few yds short of a miraculous comeback @ SEA last wk. Scam Newton is realizing what Brady & any NE QB over the modern era got to enjoy. Great oline play, great gm planning by coaching staff, receivers making very little mistakes & running great routes. The only difference this yr is NE’s overall “D” isn’t very good, run gm is struggling esp w/out White, & the kicking gm is very un-Patriot like (Folk 1-3 FGs). But w/Brady gone, Newton adds so much more to the “O” to help mitigate those weaknesses. Stalwart center Andrews had surgery on his thumb, which is a huge loss to NE’s oline. But 1 thing I’ve come to learn is Belicheat is always prepared. Whoever he plugs in there will not dominate, but will also not be a glaring hole. LAV’s dline has spurts of great play, but overall struggles to consistently stop the run or pressure the QB. And as big of a loss Andrews is to NE, LAV has its own problems on the line. LG Incognito is out indefinitely w/a bad achilles, RT’s Sam Young & Denzelle Good are nursing injuries & not guaranteed to play, & big FA acquisition Trent Brown has yet to see the field. Vegas is razor thin along the oline & 1 injury to any of the starters Sunday could be all she wrote. Speedster rookie WR Ruggs is out as well. 2 of the Raiders other key weapons Jacobs (hip) & Waller (knee) are nursing injuries coming into NE. So the hype Derek Carr is receiving could come crashing down this Sunday if LAV is unable to overcome these injuries. Belicheat rarely loses back to back gms, so being @ hm while LAV is off a short wk & travelling cross-country, bodes well for the still dangerous Patsies.
