Barman's 2020 election bets Thread

Naming this here thread in honor of my ol' pal, the late great Barman....may he RIP

Premise:

I am prepared to post up to $700 with a trusted Rxforum member (my preference is Festerzit) no later than Tuesday Oct 28

I wish to accept 5 different wagers and am posting now so interested players can make their best Odds offer on whichever of the five events they wish to bet me

I will watch for offers in this thread thru approx Oct 24 and then issue a "Ready to post up?" to the five most competitive offers. Those players will then themselves post up the relevant number w the banker (again, I prefer FZit) and we will at that point spend a week trading insults and smak as we await Nov3

Final grading for all wagers would be following the December date in which electors convene in WashDC (physically and/or virtually) to formally issue their electoral votes.

Or sooner if one or the other agrees to concede their wager(s)

Suggested Risk/Payout Unit size for me will be between $100-150 per wager

I can only imagine the flood of offerings I will receive given the fervent support here in the RxPolyToilet for an extension of the trumpco dynasty

1) Who will be elected POTUS? I bet Biden/Harris, you bet GOP even if it is for any reason not Trump on Nov3

2) Final electoral count - You set a minimum number of electoral votes for GOP and I will wager the Under

3) U.S. Senate - I wager the Senate will be reduced to 50 or less GOP. Your wager will be that GOP holds 51+

4) POTUS popular vote spread - You set a line and I will wager the final Dem pop vote total will exceed that line by at least 200k votes. Any result that falls between your posted lines and 200k will be graded as No Action

5) Nine swing states - AZ, TX, OH, FL, GA, NC, WI, MI and PA

i wager Trump will carry a max of FOUR....you wager he carries 5+

Appreciate any and all participation and God bless us all to find a way to live the rest of our lives happily regardless of the ultimate outcome(s)

To further clarify (thanks for your indulgence):

Interested players will "bid" by making their best Odds offer for one or more of the five proposals

Players may increase, decrease or fully retract any offer made during this next 17 to 18 days following which I will post official Acceptance of offers with wagers becoming official only when the Banker has received full postup $$

I will absolutely post up all my own dollars by Oct28.....however there are several RxPoly followers who I would happily accept their wager without demanding a postup....in those cases I will publicly accept their wager(s) on a honor basis

floating some Odds here....nothing official but hope to give you an idea what I would be looking for

1) Biden/Harris win POTUS -150
2) Popular vote spread - B/H by 6million+ (even)
3) Electoral vote count - GOP max of 230 (even)
4) B/H carry 5+ of the nine listed states (even)
5) GOP retains 50 or less Senate seats (even)

Therefore the more friendly odds you offer me in relation to the above, the more likely I select your offer....Cheers

ranging from -120 to -185 at about 6 diff books.

ovwe the last 4 months would put a little profit every time after a. Winning day on Joe.

You're going to find takers?..I offered unlimited amounts on a bet "proposed" by sportsman60.. he only stood up for 10 dollars on his own challenge....I will say it's an embarrassingly bad parlay one of the local "rubes" thought was doable.

I'm doubting the solvency of certain members given the fabulous work the President has done with the smooth reopening of the economy.

The bigger problem I see besides betting this , is having to root for this outcome.. What you would originally win would eventually and rapidly disappear with these socialist taking over..
