I know the Dodgers are loaded and have won series in the regular season, but San Diego playing with passion, excitement and talent. Not sure if Lamet will be available but Clevinger, Lamet, Davies can hang with Dodgers. Also, Dodgers playing with pressure. Its one thing to be a top seed and get knocked out, but another thing to constantly get to the world series and lose. Seems like they will have all the pressure vs a cool young team having fun. AND we get more than 2x the money?
Lamet didn't make the roster. Clevinger threw one bullpen session coming back from an elbow issue, and he'll probably be on a pitch count. Their starters threw a combined 6 innings vs St Louis. Can your bullpen sustain that over the course of 5 games without a day off?? Its one thing to do that against the Cardinals, its another to do that against the Dodgers.
Padres have several quality arms in the pen, and they will need to come thru again to win this series.

This series won't be about the better team being tight, nor will it be about a young team being excited and passionate. It will come down to the arms in the Padres bullpen, and if Jayce Tingler can continue to mix and match his relievers to get out of jams they have a puncher's chance.
