Hey everyone, I built a NBA db in mysql with game data, player box data, and odds from 2008 up to today. I was wondering if anybody wanted to use and work on it with me to try and predict game outcomes. I have several algorithms I have run on it, with some success, but it is going slower than I thought.
Just the process of building the db itself, like scrapping and organizing the data. I had to do a lot of googling to learn how to do things and problem solve. Right now I'm putting the finishing touches on a script that'll append all new data from the day before so I wont have to add new data manually. I am just starting to apply some probability models to it, but really looking for someone who either has R and SQL experience or someone with experience with models.
