Tulsa -8 USF

Seeing is believing. If you think Oklahoma State is a top 10 team, then the fact that Tulsa gave them all they could handle means that Tulsa must be pretty good. If you believe UCF is still a very good team, well Tulsa beat them.

Tulsa has lost all 4 FBS games that they have played and they weren’t able to cover this 8 point spread in 3 of those 4. I am laying the wood on the Golden Hurricanes who will perform some golden showers on USF.

Florida state +6 LOUISVILLE

Florida State is not quite ready for Prime Time. They are more like the little girl with the curl. When they are good, they are very very good….but when they are bad..they are like a diarrhea fart stemming from Indian food. They lost to Georgia Tech was straight ass against Clemson. They got bitch slapped by Miami, who also got a good urination from Clemson. But look…in the last 3 games they woke up and beat a decent FCS team in Jax State after what must have been a halftime talk from the ages. Then the next week they go tit for tat with Notre Dame and last week they friggin beat UNC. I think all this team needed was confidence. Now when they square up with the Cardinals, they will be facing the worst FBS team they have seen this year.

Louisville got beat by the Yellow Jackets a lot worse than FSU did. They also got beat by Miami, Pitt and Notre Dame. Essentially they have been beaten by everyone, except WKU who should still be an FCS team. Louisville doesn’t know how to win games…if they don’t know how to win, they sho’ don’t know how to cover. Gimmeee those points and the Seminoles.

Nc state +15.5 UNC
I don’t know why NC State gets so much disrespect. I also don’t know why everyone is blowing the Tar Heels. NC State is averaging 34 points per game. That means UNC needs to score 50 to cover this game. What??? Of course NC State’s QB is out, but there are 21 other guys out there that want to win this game. I think NC State as a unit is good enough to keep this game close.

UNC has only covered this spread once and NC State, even without Leary at QB, is better than the 2 of the teams that UNC failed to cover against (FSU and BC). So let’s go. Give me those points.

COASTAL CAROLINA -5 georgia southern
Coastal Carolina is kicking ass. They are undefeated and have covered this 5 point spread in 3 of their 4 victories. Coastal and Georgia Southern have two common opponents, the Campbell Camels. Georgia Southern was incredibly lucky to come out with a win against Campbell, winning by 1 point. Coastal beat Campbell by 22 points. Coastal beat Louisiana, Georgia Southern lost to Louisiana. Georgia Southern only beat ULM by 5 points. ULM is one of the worst teams in college football. The script is written. Coastal Carolina is home and they are the MUCH better team. 5 points is nothing. Going with the chalk.

MIAMI -11 virginia

Miami has proven themselves as more than capable bullies, already beating up on ACC crap. Despite being defrocked by Clemson, they are still probably the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] best team in the ACC. The Hurricanes have covered this 11 point spread in all four of their victories and they are playing in their friendly confines of South Florida heat this weekend. The Wahoos are a lot sadder, only 1-3 this season and have not scored more than 23 points in any of their losses and they have lost all 3 of these games by 17 points. Two of those losses (to NC State and Wake Forest) were to teams not nearly as good as the ‘Canes. Miami is averaging 36 points per game. No worries laying the wood here. Loving D’Eriq King to get back on track with a big game to cover this spread. Miami -11.

Tulane +18.5 UCF

If you take UCF’s defense, which yields 33 points per game, and put them up against Tulane’s offense which is scoring 36 points per game, you have to figure that Tulane is going to score in the high 30’s this week. Let’s give them 37 points. That means UCF is going to have to score 56 points to cover this spread. They haven’t done it yet this season – it ain’t gonna happen on Saturday. UCF is going to win, but they will be trading touchdowns most of this game. I watched Tulane in the last 3 games they have played, and they are very hard to stop. Averaging more than 229 yards per game, Tulane leads the AAC in rushing offense and UCF defense has pretty much been swiss cheese. The Knights are yielding more than 213 rushing yards per game this season. Trading touchdowns is no way to cover 18.5…you need a defense. I am liking the Green Wave and all of those points.

Penn st -6.5 INDIANA

James Franklin is a narcissist but he wants his team in the playoff. In an abbreviated season, he will have to spank the patsies. Enter the Hoosiers. If Penn State can’t beat these guys by a touchdown, then they will have no business squaring off against Ohio State. We have no data here other than the fact that Penn State wants to compete for a national championship, and Indiana couldn’t give a shit about that. Penn State for the win…and lay the points. Go JoPa.

Nebraska was barking loudest when the Big 10 first announced that they were cancelling football. No different from the dog barking loudest while his leash is still fastened. When the leash breaks, not so brave. My guess is that the Cornhuskers are going to be a pinata this season. There is no way Nebraska hangs in this game as Ohio State needs to start really fast to get back into the conversation with Clemson and Nebraska….no mercy here. Buckeyes -25

Baylor +11.5 TEXAS
Texas has been largely unimpressive. I don’t know which team is better, but 11.5 is a lot of points to be giving Charlie Brewer and a team like Baylor who has playmakers against the Longhorns who forgot how to play defense. Taking the points and looking for a backdoor cover.

Cincinnati -1 SMU
SMU comes in at 5-0 with a lot of finesse and with 3 of those wins against teams that look like they should be on ventilators. The Stangs did get two quality, but close, victories over Memphis and Tulane. The Bearcats are 3-0 with decisive victories over a lame USF team but a most impressive victory over Army, 28-10, where they shut down the vaunted triple option rushing attack. When a good offense squares up against a good defense, I always go with the defense. Furthermore, Cincinnati is ranked 14th on the Massey Composite and SMU is only 28th. That's better than flipping a coin. Taking the Cats -1.

West virginia -2.5 TEXAS TECH
Why do I torture myself with these Big 12 games. Hopefully when the Big 10 gets one week under their belts, I won’t have to watch this Big 12 shit anymore. The Massey composite has the Mountaineers ranked 35[SUP]th[/SUP] (above UCF and Tennessee) but has Texas Tech way down at #85 (below Louisiana Tech and Temple). That’s a pretty big disparity do be only giving 2.5 points. The Mountaineers beat Baylor and destroyed Kansas. Their only loss was to Oklahoma State, who just might very well be the best team in the Big 12 right now.

Texas Tech’s only win was a 2 point squeaker over Houston Baptist. That’s right, Houston Baptist. Decisive losses to K State and Iowa State means that the Raiders do not belong among the upper echelon in the Big 12….if there even is an upper echelon in the Big 12. I am going with WVU – the better team - to cover this tiny spread.

Texas Tech played maybe the 2 toughest defenses in KSU and ISU back to back. They also lost to a more talented team. I think TTU gets the outright win, but taking the +3.5 is even better.
