just announced today guess nobody has noticed yet

https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/21/investing/******-bitcoin-cryptocurrencies/index.htm

****** is launching its own cryptocurrency service, allowing people to buy, hold and sell digital currency on its site and applications.

The online payments company declared adding crypto was a significant milestone on the path to mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin. Bitcoin investors agreed: Prices rose 5% on the news Wednesday.

****** says its new service will give customers the ability to hold and exchange Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin cryptocurrencies using the company's digital wallet, which lets people shop online, request and send money.

The company's US customers will receive crypto service access in the coming weeks, but they won't be able to pay for products and services using cryptocurrency until early 2021. ******'s Venmo customers and select international consumers won't have crypto services until some time in the first half of 2021.
Investors responded positively to the news Wednesday, as ******'s (PYPL) stock price surged following opening bell before retreating close to where it opened for the day. The company's stock has more than doubled since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in the United States in mid-March.

This stuff is way over my head.
better learn it now while you can still catch up.
the learning curve will rise sharply in the next 5 years and its integration into every day life is inevitable.

biggest thing to learn is to make sure you set up your own cold storage of btc. never leave it on a website (ie. coinbase).

I think this would happen in any case. Cryptocurrencies are becoming more and more popular and more and more stable. OFC, nobody knows what will happen to them in the next few years (especially now, when the world's economy is shaken), but why not. People in PayPal know what they are doing, and they think that cooperation with cryptocurrencies will be profitable. It is a good decision, I think, because it will allow more and more people to become involved in the crypto world, and in this way, it will bring more money to the crypto world. So cryptocurrencies will become more valuable and more usable. I think, this is the right time to start reading crypto content on octocrypto. And start mining, maybe? I've been thinking about it for the last few weeks, and now I think I'm ready. What cryptocurrency would you suggest to start with?
