Never had a 14 hour lay over.

On the way back from Istanbul to Toronto there is a 14 hour layover. Are you able to leave the airport and stay at a hotel on a connecting flight? I really don’t want to camp out in Toronto airport for 14 hours

Will either Canada or Turkey permit you entry given the many countries that currently have bans on U.S. citizens due to Covid19?
