theres a new movie on Netflix called Queens Gambit.

Dam that show was decent. Its a 7 episode story.. the story is fictional.... its VERY well done..

Its a period piece set in the late 60s with a Hot chick as the main character..

Really good chess movie. Made me super happy to see. Hope you guys watch it and Like it.

Watched all episodes back to back....good story and entertaining....if you like chess and are a player, you will really like it....

Thanks for feedback guys, Their portrayal of alcoholism was also 1 of the Best Ive ever seen,, great little series,, lol I haven played chess in a year,, lol,, Ive been playing it every day the last week of the stupid show,, lol

very good limited series especially considering how much garbage content Netflix has been pumping out for years.

is based on the book by Walter Tevis...the last he wrote before dying a year later. He also wrote The Hustler with the Fast Eddie Felson character that Paul Newman portrayed

I used to work with Fast Eddies grandson(nephew), lol,, he even brought in 1 of fast eddies cues to show us personalized insignias,, really cool stories from this kid.

I like it, binged watched it too since I really don't have much patience

I loved the "magic negro" too. Not sure why black guys like Spike Lee hate those characters, I think they're cool

I never heard of the expression until Spike Lee was talking about Will Smith's character in The Legend of Bagger Vance. I loved that movie too, Spike didn't care too much

It was very well done especially the dump Benny Watts was living in NYC. This was an accurate portrayal of even top chess players living in poverty. I knew a well respected IM about 25 years ago who survived playing small limit poker from time to time and teaching gigs. He usually had no money and slept on park benches on the West Coast. Many GM's were also broke. No one pays you to become the top of your field in chess. Magnus Carlsen as world champion has a multi-million dollar income but for the most part there is very little money available for chess players unless you are at or near the very top.

This looks awful to me....but seems everyone in the world loves it. The only negative reviews I saw were that it was typical liberal nonsense, males are bad type stuff but 2 friends of mine just told me it is good also.....I will give it a try.
