Chrome is a good ball, so are many others. i don't think it makes that much difference. Really the biggest thing is how much spin you prefer on apprach shots and around the greens. If you want to try out another ball that is high quality, maybe go with Srixon Z Star, Vice, Titleist Pro V1, or highend bridgestone ball.

Have played pro v1, prefer chrome soft

Funny you mention srixon, that's the reason I ask. Time to order a new case of chrome soft and have half a mind to just get 2 cases srixon

I play the Bridgestone B RX. My swing speed is around 105 and this ball is designed for average swing speeds. It doesn't spin as good as the Pro V1x but its still not bad.

I'm a 1 handicap and 46 years old so its a good ball for my age.

golfholic here, one step short the nut house ...

all depends. Casual player? havin' fun with friends, GNF aboout feel/ score too much, enjoying the sunshine,......play anything, save the monies on elite balls . Crazy to pay that price.

for me. and again, i'm a loon....golf ball fitting is the best way to be certain that for YOUR swing you are using the most appropraite golf ball ( the best feel/distance/spin needed. wedge/ 7 iron/ driver)

the pros dont use balata balls or persimmon woods for a reason...they use the best tech for them ...and of course, the company that will pay them the biggest bucks (the gifted elite have this option...:) ..)

for golf nutters, may want to read ;

https://mygolfspy.com/most-wanted-golf-ball/

This is the most impactful test we have ever published
Over the past 10 years, MyGolfSpy has conducted hundreds of tests, and published thousands of articles that have influenced millions of golfers, but no test has the potential to impact golfers and the industry more than this one. We’re not sure exactly when it happened, but at some point, marketing the golf ball became more important than the actual performance of the products themselves. Today, for the golf ball, that changes. Today we get to what’s real and true, and what will ultimately help golfers make smarter decisions about the golf balls they play.

ball fitting clinics? they post ball fitting events at their website

https://www.bridgestonegolf.com/en-us/ball-fitting-events

in my neck of the woods we have TXG, was hoping to get ball fit but COVID changed things. They r so busy that ball fitting appts have been postponed, crazy!

anxious to see different ball numbers on trackman

Been hitting Chrome Soft Truvis, the little yellow soccer balls, since I posted this thread. Awesome balls. I like playing in a 4some and knowing which ball is yours even from far away. Hard to lose too, I literally played 30+ holes with the same ball last week before finally losing one.

Playing early tomorrow morning, got the sunrise tee time, super pumped to have a wide open course.

This is my second favorite ball.

I play with TP5X. I am a 20 handicap but my putting just stinks. Waste at least 5 strokes on the green.

Putting #1 reason I can't break 80 consistently. Struck the ball great today and I missed at least 7 putts within 5' and shot an 88.
Really need to put the time in on it.

When I play I hope my balls don't itch....

Usually play consistent and never look back or enjoy playing with anyone who talks their game. I think it's best to talk about it right here....
