Someone talk me out of this game being my GOY. Where's LSUPete?

LSU's defense is horrendous this season and their offense is a shell of what we all remember from last year. They are a blocked FG away from going into OT with Arkansas, lost to Auburn by 37, Mizzou by 4, and made Miss St look like Alabama. Their best showing is a 28pt win vs a terrible So Carolina team....a team A&M beat by 45.

LSU's defense ranks 112th in the country and 125th against the pass. There's no way A&M doesnt get to 45. Stingley is also questionnable.

And let's not forget what LSU did to A&M last year after holding a grudge for that 7 OT loss the year before. A&M is going to want some payback for that 50-7 loss last year. There's no love lost in this game and if A&M can pour it on, they will. And they should have no problem doing that.

With the current line, Vegas is predicting a 39-25 game. A&M TT over would be a great play as well.

I dont see how LSU stays in this one.

When a team covers the first road game and is getting points in the second they tend to cover This is their thrd straight roadie though
But, when I look at these two teams you would think Tx AM should cover
But teams can run hot and cold a couple games and or get their act together and improve
Interesting to hear some of the better college football guys chime in

One aspect not being mentioned yet is the Jimbo Fisher variable.

At this exact time of year in 2015, Jimbo Fisher had agreed to become LSU's next head coach. The A.D. had already told Les tat the A$M game would be his last and it was his farewell event. However, one of the LSU Board members got wind that the A.D. had made this deal without consulting him and that board member released the Fisher information to the press. So, during that Thanksgiving week there was an outpouring of attention from the national fuck tard media (ESPN) about "how could LSU get rid of Les Miles". LSU came under heavy criticism and decided to keep Les and give him strict instructions to upgrade the offense. Of course Jimbo Fisher took a ton of heat everywhere and had no new job to show for it, so it burned his ass.

So, that series of events PLUS the rivalry between these schools, PLUS the recruiting wars, PLUS the ass beating that LSU put on A$M last year....you get the picture.

Jimbo Fisher will hang 100 on LSU if he can.....and he can this year.

That all makes sense, but A&M is so overrated.

Why is A&M overrated? Only loss to Bama and beat Florida...best D in SEC going into last week despite playing the 2 best offenses in the conference. O-line is playing lights out, running game strong, Mond can play action pass to TE and make easy throws for the most part (ie. not too much being asked of him). Body of work and current trends say they are right where they should be in terms of CFP ranking. On a good day they could be competitive w anyone the country outside of Bama I suspect. still have some weaknesses for sure but most teams do.

A&M is not overrated, but Jimbo is. A+ recruiter, C- coach. He created that prima donna culture at FSU, which they are still digging out of. Since 2014, his last great season, Jimbo's teams have lost so many big games, so many games his teams should have won. However, A&M's victory over Florida was impressive. A&M has got a complete team, although the secondary might be a semi weakness.

A&M will do as well as mond does. If mond has that game he’s known to have where he’s turning it over and making stupid decisions it will be nasty. If mond plays to his season average and potential, it’s a route

If you like A$M in this game, you better get on them tonight. It looks as though LSU's best receiver Terrace Marshal has decided to quit. That means LSU will be on the road with a freshman quarterback and all freshman wide receivers.

big news if Marshall out! that guy is a beast. If A&M can establish the running game early they could roll. LSU still has great athletes but they are young and adjusting to new coaches while A&M has a senior laden OL and Sr QB combined with a great RB and TE combo. And DL is very very good. Biggest weakness is back end of D but if Marshall out that makes this a much more interesting bet on A&M.

Ya um Mond sucks as a Passer, please hand off every time you stiff.

I certinly don’t want to be taking up for him. But that first half had everything go agaisnt him as possible. Bad spots, no calls his way with receivers, WR drops, rain, and rust.

A&M defense keeping them in the game. Their offense looks so out of synch.

A&M typical drive: 1 yard run, penalty, incomplete pass, sack, punt. They do NOT belong in the NC picture.
