Totals 8-13
First h 11-11
2nd 3-4
parlay 0-2
(2* 7-3)

Hope all of you and your families are safe from the virus.

I sometimes do write ups as a means of possible discussion and personal accountability. They are not meant to encourage you to make the same bets as I do. I am an amateur and know my standing.

3*Alabama-20.5

On paper, this is the best Alabama team in a LONG time. I will not delve into all the new faces you will see, but most are familiar with Petty, Jones, and Shackleford. They will be surrounded by a significantly better supporting cast. The tempo will be enough to win by 40—they just have to make shots and play defense.

What do you make of the loss of Kira Lewis? is Quinerly the answer at point guard? How much will the other newcomers contribute? Any insights into Jacksonville State?

Guys, thanks for all the comments. Glad to see so many familiar faces from last season are back and ready for the grind.

Quinerly should have been eligible last season so he spent an entire year in the system practicing and going head to head with Kira. The upgrade in the roster means Alabama won’t need as much scoring from Quinerly as they needed from Lewis so Javon can focus on distributing . Josh Primo is elite and should be similar to Sexton and Lewis in terms of impact. Bruner adds defensive toughness and scoring down low. Keon Ellis should be off the bench early and will be a legit 3 point threat. Oats said the team has 7-9 starters and the best 5 will not necessarily start. Obviously the newcomers need to gel with the returnees, but there is more depth and flexibility to the roster than we have seen in quite some time.

As for JSU, they return one starter and picked up transfers from Georgia and Troy that should play immediately—I would peg Darian Adams from Troy to be their leading scorer. Not sure how much Huffman from UNC will help them. They also added 4 JUCO players. Their other returnees from last season were not significant contributors and they did lose their top three 3 point shooters. The Gamecocks are predicted to finish in the 6-7 range in the OVC.

Sark will be taking the reins for this game. CNS still participating via zoom up until game time. Bama got a dry run with this process before the UGA game so it shouldn’t be too bumpy. Message board is more lit up over Bo Nix’s comments on Mac Jones. Let the bad blood start to flow.

Lol got to love bama fans trying to make something out of nothing. As for basketball, there will be no excuse for bama this year. They are loaded and have the perfect coach and system for that team. I agree and think bama should coast to a 30+ point win.

Fuck. I hedged my game bet for a little. Not shooting well ,but made a little burst at the end of the half. Jax State has nothing to hurt them with though.
