Hes a talented player, but you could NEVER start him and have him attempt 400+ passes in a year. Hes an effective gimmick player, multipurpose play, but Winston should be in at qb to see if hes their future or if they need someone when Brees retires.

I'll trust Payton to play the better QB. Or at least the QB that gives them a better chance to win a few games without Brees.

He knows his team. He know's football pretty well. As evidence of winning a Super Bowl. He's much smarter than you or I.

My favorite is all the losers on twitter talking about how Sean Payton is a racist and the Saints are gonna get some kind of discrimination lawsuit.

And QBs who consistently make poor decisions and turn the ball over, negate any talent they have.

Nothing kills a football team more than turnovers.

Continue rolling with Hill.

Well, to be fair.. He's about to be 2-0 as a starting QB in the NFL. I know it's a small sample size to crown his ass. But also a small sample size to write him off.

Tebow won some games to. doesnt mean it will work for a season or years. if they sign him long term to be their qb, they are idiots

Who gives a flying fuck ?

We have a HOF QB coming back in 3 weeks .

It makes no difference what Hill is long term is long as he stacks wins against these weak teams.

2-0

Dont think even drew brees could have done better then 2-0

I didnt say anything about winning these games, I said about acting like Hill is a long term starting qb. Denver has like 50 yards of offense, anyone could have started and won today. The fact is you have a proven qb on your bench thats been learning under Brees and sean for a year now, if this wasnt the perfect time to see if he can be your future qb, when will it ever be. If your afraid of winston losing it, im sure he could manage handing it off 40+ times

And yes. He's not going to be a long term solution to anyone's QB room. But a hell of a backup QB who can win some games if called on. And thrive in a bunch of different roles. Love the guy.

the nfl catches up so quickly, Lamar jackson is fading, as well as murray has been at times barely above .500. arm strength and accuracy matter

Here is the part you don’t understand .

Sean Payton don’t give a shit about figuring out who is and who is not the long term answer at QB

All he cares about is winning last week , this week , and next week.

Hes 7-0 in the last 2 years with backup QBs

So I would say he is doing a pretty good job .

Only possible way the saints could have lost a game like today is with a bunch of dumb turnovers .

That’s the only way.

You see we have this other guy who threw 30 ints last season and a bunch of fumbles .

It would have really sucked to lose a game like today with dumb turnovers

Murray is in his second year and has a great arm...no worries about him. You have to admit Hill was better than the Denver QB today...that's about it.

Let's say Drew Brees gets hurt in the first round of the playoffs....who goes in to try and win a super bowl this year? If the answer is Hill then these weeks mean more in his development.

If the answer is Watson, then they are probably playing the wrong guy.
