What a disaster.

Packages all over the country, going in wrong direction, taking weeks and weeks to get to recipient.

Locally, our delivery is a mess and has been for years. Weekly I have to bring someone their mail that was delivered to me and weekly someone else gets our package in the neighborhood.

My intent was not to make this a political thread, but as I am typing I cannot help but think about the mail in election. You gotta be kidding me.

Never understood (other than over paying Gov job) why they get paid the way they do. "Anything liquid, perishable...." about the same as "You want fries with that"? I've heard mail carriers say it is not as easy as it looks....it isn't? You math up the EXACT # on the package to the address....that's hard?

I have my mail scanned and emailed to me so I know what to expect.

Results? I get about 50% of my mail. Not sure where the rest goes. I’ve been to my local branch to try and get it sorted out, that was 6 months ago. I gave up

Been getting worse and worse

I'm lucky if I receive my work mail before 5pm. Nothing like leaving the office around 630 and seeing the mail truck just arriving to my building. Our mail lady doesnt give a rats ass if she gets fired or not as she'll get a nice payday.

Sucks on the home front as well. Many times i'll have a neighbors package or letter in my mailbox and vice versa

Yea, that’s what I was gonna add as well, most don’t give a shit because they’re making an highly above average hourly wage with just about unlimited overtime, and a helluva benefits package with a hefty pension to boot...

No joke, just got an important set of pictures postmarked Feb 2020 delivered last week. Great job all crushed and 10 months late. Local post office now run by Indians and BLM with NA's horrible service rude, multiple trips last 2 years, I use the self service kiosk for most services.

went to use the self serve kiosk today (as about 100 sheep waited in the regular line) Of course, in the self help line was just 3 people ahead of me....just like an ATM nobody can ever do anything in under 3789 minutes and then sure as shit, 2nd guy broke the friggin machine and I could not use it and was not gonna wait in line. That and a bunch of other crap happened and came home and told Wifey I want to get further and further away from society.

My wife was expecting a package yesterday and looked online and said it was delivered.

it was delivered but sitting on a neighbors driveway (who sucks)

wife went on her driveway and she took the package. I joke and called her a porch pirate

I ordered a obscure part off eBay from some dude in Iowa .. 3 day Priority pre payed box.
Took 2 weeks tracked the package from Iowa to Guam/Hawaii/ Portland then us two weeks later.

Efficient to say the least.

Now that i'm thinking of it, for Mothers Day, I had ordered something for my wife on facebook. I ordered it towards the end of April

I was able to track the package and was to have it delivered to my office. The package flew to a post office in Northern California and sat there for 10 days. Then it transferred to southern California for a good 10 days. Then the package was delivered to the fort lauderdale post office where if i walked there, it would probably only be a 2 hour walk and it sat there for a few days.

Then it showed the package being flown to Atlanta and sat there for a few days.

One day i went to get my mail and the package was sitting in my box but when you tracked it, it was still in Atlanta.

I want to say we received the mothers day gift sometime after fathers day but before 4th of July
