Those who follow my threads in the NFL know I've come up with a pretty good system hitting at 70% or so clip and although the same system has not worked in college the last few weeks I've been working hard on it day and night to try and make it work.

*IF YOU WANT MORE INFO ON THE SYSTEM PLEASE REFER TO MY NFL THREAD IN THE NFL FORUM FROM PAST WEEKS!

The COLLEGE BOWL SYSTEM IS A BIT DIFFERENT than the Regular Season System. Did a small test yesterday and the system picked Appalachian State in the Opener so I decided to roll it out now. If adjustments need to be made they will be made as we go.

System Explained

I come up with 4 Suggested Lines using several different variances and data input. This includes injuries, stats, habits, weather, all of that. If the actual game line matches up with all four suggested lines then we have a play.

*Most plays will be posted 5-10 minutes before kickoff similar to the NFL

So here goes nothing, hoping to hit 60% or better to call it a success.

Tulane vs Nevada

Suggested Line 1: Nevada -2.33
Suggested Line 2: Nevada -2.17
Suggested Line 3: Nevada -1.77
Suggested Line 4: Nevada -2.89

PLAY: Nevada Wolfpack +1 (10 Units)

My system likes Nevada not only to cover the spread here but to win this game straight up. This is obviously not the most exciting college football matchup of all-time but it should be a good one between two 6 win teams. Tulane has not played a football game since December 5 when they beat a pretty bad Memphis team 35-21 but the Green Wave have played a total of 11 games this season and obviously have a lot more reps than almost every other school in the Nation. Nevada on the other hand played 11 days ago and they come into this game off a pretty good game despite losing to San Jose State by 10. The Spartans eventually beat Boise State to win the Conference Championship and unlike Tulane, Nevada has only played 8 games this season and won six of them so they are in a nice groove, they're a very good football team and if they can find a way to control the clock and keep the Tulane offense off the field they'll have a chance to score points and get some stops. Nevada QB Carson Strong has been tremendous his last few games throwing 10 Touchdown Passes and only 3 Interceptions with a QB Rating of 145.3 in those games. Tulane has the #115 ranked pass defense in college football so I assume they are doing to have issue stopping Strong and this offense today and this also gives this offense the ability to play from behind and have a chance if they need to. Tulane comes into this game 2-6 ATS in their last eight games coming off a straight up win and as previously mentioned they have not played a game of football since December 5. Nevada comes into this game an impressive 3-0-1 ATS in their last four Bowl Games as an Underdog and they are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games played in December. They are also 5-0 ATS in their last five games as an Underdog and seem to play much better under this role. Nevada is also 4-1-1 ATS in their last six Bowl Games overall and they've been a good team this season.

Trend of the Game: Nevada is 5-0 ATS in their last five games as an Underdog.

Boca Raton Bowl

Central Florida vs Brigham Young

Suggested Line 1: Brigham Young -9.27
Suggested Line 2: Brigham Young -8.71
Suggested Line 3: Brigham Young -10.15
Suggested Line 4: Brigham Young -9.35

PLAY: Brigham Young Cougars -6 (10 Units)

Ooooh this is going to be a good game because it's being played in Boca Raton, Florida and UCF will feel somewhat at home in this game and in their element but my system has picked BYU to win this game and win this game big. I don't see this as a regular Bowl Game as much as I see this being a SHOWCASE game for BYU QB Zach Wilson. He is playing his final collegiate game before heading to the NFL where he is a projected first round pick. He is wildly popular on this team and every single guy on this roster is going to show up and play for Zach tonight. I watched quite a few UCF games this season and for as good as their offense is their defense is terrible and BYU is going to take big time advantage. UCF has the #117 ranked total yards defense in the Country and they are also ranked #117 against the pass. That's a huge problem. We are talking an NFL prospect quarterback going up against a terrible pass defense. UCF has not played a game of football since November 27 which is almost exactly a month. From what we have seen in the past they will likely struggle on defense with tackling and they will struggle on offense against a very good BYU team. Also keep in mind that UCF comes into this game 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall coming in and they are 1-4 ATS in their last five games coming off a game where they scored 40+ points. For a very long time now BYU has struggled in Bowl Games and actually been one of the better fades the last 4-5 seasons but this year is different for Wilson's grand finale. The Cougars are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games coming off a game where they managed less than 100 rushing yards and they should be firing on all cylinders in this game.

Trend of the Game: BYU is 5-2 ATS in their last seven games coming off a game where they rushed for less than 100 yards.

I used the earlier game as "experimental" because I had two possible outcomes, one regular and one fade and now I'll know which way to lean system wise when we have that type of scenario. The FADE line said take Georgia Southern and the regular line said take Louisiana Tech. The FADE is always in play for the NFL but I wasn't sure about College Bowl Games so here we are.

Memphis vs. Florida Atlantic

Suggested Line 1: Memphis -11.15
Suggested Line 2: Memphis -11.56
Suggested Line 3: Memphis -12.58
Suggested Line 4: Memphis -13.02

PLAY: Memphis Tigers -9 (10 Units)

The Memphis Tigers are then only way to go according to the system so that is the direction we are going tonight. It seems the Favorites have been winning and covering quite a bit this Bowl Season aside from my Nevada pick yesterday which won straight up as an underdog but none of that is surprising because of the kind of year it has been and I think tonight will go the same before the upsets starts happening in the next few days. Memphis played 10 games to only 8 games by the Florida Atlantic Owls and what's interesting here is that these two teams combined for only 6 spread covers this season in a combined 18 games played so this is probably going to be the closest of the spread games we have seen so far this Bowl Season. I'm talking final possession something happens to win it for either side. Memphis come into this game having won 4 of their last 5 games and they last played a game on December 12. Florida Atlantic also last played a game around the same time so both teams should come into tonight competitive and ready to go. The only issue I have with FAU is how terrible they have looked their last two games losing their spreads by a combined 43 total points (54.5 if you count the last three games all ATS losses). Memphis has a long history of being horrendous in Bowl Games but they are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games versus a CUSA Conference opponent and they are going up against a Florida Atlantic side that is only 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games versus non-conference opponents. Like I said before the Owls have looked horrendous their last three games and although Memphis is not blowing the doors off opponents I think they find a way to cover late.

Trend of the Game: Memphis is 6-1 ATS in their last seven games versus CUSA Conference opponents.

Memphis 43, Florida Atlantic 32
