Hi Jack. Twin Spires comes up with the total bets. I just copy and paste their recap. I would think each time you place a multi horse bet say a dd although only 1 ticket is generated but they count each combo as 1 bet. So I guess if I bet a dd 1,2,3/1,2,3 that would be 9 bets.

Jack I check the print out again and I was wrong. In fact 1 ticket does equal 1 bet. So in my example it's not 9 but 1 bet.
