China announced its lowest GDP growth numbers since 1992 on Monday, as the ongoing trade war between the world’s two largest economies continues to take its toll.
The country’s GDP grew 6.2% for the quarter ending in June, down from 6.4% the previous quarter, according to government figures cited by CNN.

CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Wednesday that "tariffs worked" as a strategy to force China to agree to a trade deal.
"I keep wondering when people are going to recognize that it is historic that tariffs did succeed," Cramer said.
"Tariffs were not supposed to work," he explained. "The Chinese were supposed to be able to get around them. It didn’t happen... The Chinese were kind of accepting that they had to get something in order to keep the American market."
