Saturday 1/23/21 Live Handicapping Thread

It's Pegasus Day at Gufstream. There are some pretty good races carded.

I've personally decided to skip going to the track today. I'm doing so poorly here I need to get my handicapping back in order. And its not just here. I left them $400.00 last week, too.

So I'll be here with you guys trying to get out of my handicapping trough.

It's an 11:40 first post today at Gulfstream.

Checked the weather. It looks like it's gonna be fast and firm at Gulfstream. Not sure about Tampa and Fairgrounds for us turf guys.

OK Michel. Yeah a bit of a struggle for you lately, but I know you can turn it around. Take your time and crunch the numbers. LOL. will be posting as well. Good luck.

I've spent way too much time on Gulfstream this morning. But it just has the look of a card full of big prices. The 6th race for maidens, for instance, tons of possibilities. A million dollar son of Curlin starting next to a $5k Anchor Down first timer - and both have a good shot. My pages are so marked up I can barely read them. I've also looked at Aqueduct this morning, and Fairgrounds last night. My brain will be sludge by the time I get done with Oaklawn. The key will be focusing on the "right" races and picking spots with value. Unfortunately, that's my biggest weakness.

I know that "sludge" feeling, Niko. My weakness is handicapping, no change that to playing, too many tracks at once. That's why I usually do well when I go to Saratoga, because I only THOROUGHLY HANDICAP one track. Gonna try to get back to my handicapping discipline today. If I don't I may have to take a break and reset. Hope not.

yeah take your time Michel. I too am an action Player but trying to show more discipline and take my time and crunch the numbers the right way. I do not think it was by accident that my best tracking numbers was in the GP/TP game recently. just one track at a time. Look at Prof's deliberate style and the results he gets. impressive.
