not only limited seating but having a local team ... people will pay more for a seat without the added expense of flights, food, and hotel

when it was down there for PIT/ARI I got there on a wed evening and prices stayed consistently 2500-3000 for ok seat, 3500-4500 for better... 7k is way up there but having TB in it jacks the price for sure

I saw NFL is giving 7k seats to health care workers. about 1/3 of the stadium. I wonder if those tickets are going to be resold.

Even though the stadium will only be 1/3 full anyway, having the home team in the game has to be an even bigger hit to the local economy. That would normally be about 20k fans coming from out of town to see the game and/or be part of the festivities.

If it were the Packers instead of the Bucs in the game? You would figure a good 5-8k Packer fans would splurge to go to the game. Plus many more probably make the trek to Tampa for the experience, even if they can't swing the game. 10k less people than you expected in hotel rooms, restaurants, etc is a big hit. Especially when those types of industries have been struggling as it is.

Its a shame that they are selling tickets for 7k.During these tough times with the covid-19 hurting everyones life they should be way less.I can say maybe 2k,but even that is to much in my mind.Like they are giving healthcare workers who spent countless hours taking care of people free tickets i think they should look towards the small business's and diners, etc, and give them who had to close down due to no business and give them something to raise their spirits a bit, even if its for a day

The healthcare workers tickets can't be resold. It was my understanding that they have to show they have been vaccinated but I don't how that would work for the spouse or family member the healthcare worker brings. I would think the NFL might ask for ID on the healthcare workers seats. It would be a bad look for the league if those tickets were scalped.

The 7K ticket price is the aftermarket price from the brokers and sell sites. I just looked and the prices have come down to around $6600 before fees.
