No one can say that the Chiefs should be the under dog. In fact they have been the dog only one time all season when Mahomes was starting. It was in Baltimore in week 3 and a three ppi9nt underdog which KC won 34-20. baltimore was a little over rated then as they open the season by crushing the Browns by 30 plus points and then wiping out Houston 33-16. So it was reasonable for public Perception to make the ravens the favorite at that time.
Today the same circumstances are similar for the super bowl. The Chiefs had started out the season beating everyone easily. That perception then, is the factor today why the Chiefs are the road favorite minus 3.
But since th e middle of the season KC hasn't dominated anyone by more than 6 points in any game. The lone exception was just 2 weeks ago by Blowing out Buffalo. That one game has revived the hype again for KC enough to make them the road favorite today.
But if you consider that they were almost beat by Cleveland (and should have been), then you can step back and see that KC should be a dog today. Right now KC is over priced and winning against Brady and the better defense in Tampa, is a tall order to fill.
Consider that Baltimore was a one-dimension offense as was the Bills. Tampa would also beat both teams today. Now the Bucs are at home with the most experience QB of all time - and you think this game has the right team favored? I dont.
