The Derby preps get their first biggie today in the Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream. The 14th race (big friggin' card). 6:10 Eastern scheduled post.

Because of the big card the first race at Gulfstream today goes at 11:30 AM.

Gulfstream, Tampa Bay and Fairgrounds are all listed as "fast and firm" which means we will get a full card of turf racing today and full fields. We will undoubtedly see some nice longshots as a consequence. Here's hoping that we can find them.

I will be going to the track, Jack. But I might only be going there to pay $100.00 that I borrowed from a buddy last week as I broke all my rules. I had another buddy make the bet that I posted here. If this horse wins I might hang around at the track. Otherwise it's pay and come home.

when you shut down your account on HT you need to wait 6 months before you can reopen it. with Derby Wars can reopen at any time. it's been a good respite for me. come back in fresh in a couple of months or so.
