If at the end of your life you have, for example, an extra 20K in your accounts due to sports (casino, or financial investment, etc) gambling, what will it benefit you? Nothing. You can't take it with you! LOL.

BTW, some very high figure, like 99% of punters, are lifetime losers at sports/casino type gambling.

OTOH if you're a pro sports gambler living payout to payout, then your winnings may be of some immediate benefit to you. That might apply to one in a million punters.

Also if you're saving up for a child or some other good cause that your winnings will go to upon your demise/end in this world, that would be another positive motivation where your gambling winnings do something for you, at least indirectly. But, again, as the vast majority are lifelong losers, it's probably more likely to end up with you shooting yourself in the foot.

Or if you won hugely, as in millions, for example, then that could do something for you, during the moment of your lifetime, and at your death. Though not necessarily in a positive way.

I suppose most, on online forums such as this, gamble because it's considered fun, or a habit, or an addiction, or entertainment to help fill their days.

When it comes to sports, i NEVER spend my winnings as i know i'll have to pay it back some time.

When i win in a casino (i dont casino gamble much) i'll usually buy myself a little something since i'm on vacation

you don't win at gambling, nobody does, they do it for the excitement which may give them a heart attack one day,or to watch a game on tv for interest,i can't tell you how many people i run into are playing 12 to 15 game parlays and putting 5.00 down hoping to cash a big one,..now is it gambling, yes,do they intend on stashing it away,no,but i have seen people win on those type of wagers, and as long as the games keep winning for them the longer they get to hang around in the book for interest
Whether it's the best of times or the worst of times, it's the only time we've got.

Sports betting is like a dog chasing its own tail. Its the illusion of some big never-ending run that doesn't occur.

People who play longshot parlays have a better chance of winning big than us straight bet guys. But parlays are supposedly sucker bets. Maybe all bets are just sucker bets when you factor the vig

Those who never gamble are probably just smarter and see the foolishness of trying to beat the system.

Indeed makes me wonder sometimes if the time, effort and money is worth it in the long run? It's not.

Well, duh. Those are skill games with some luck involved. Vs trying to beat 10 cents.

Should have explained yourself better in the first place.
