This Site needs a new read only Picks forum for elite cappers ...

It would be by INVITE ONLY and OPTIONAL to Members like Catwins, Streetsmarts2019, LSU Pete, Bigcat and other posters who have demonstrated their capping prowess and generosity by posting their plays free for others to benefit from. They could post all of their plays together in one post and in one thread. ex. NHL, NBA, Bases & CBB.

for everybody else, expecially RX Juniors like Kick Ass who only want to harass and otherwise start trouble. Probably shills for the books and touts who don't want any quality free content posted, would be read only. No thank yous, no comments and NO BS.

Mods could do this. Call it something like Elite Cappers forum. or whatever

that would fix the problem that exists here where quality handicappers who are the life of this forum are continually Driven away

Better idea is initial posters / cappers can delete and / or block posts on their thread from trolls or those prone to ridiculous chatter not relevant to handicapping.

They can very well post their plays here, Picks and Record Tracker Forum
and not ONE other person can comment.

The main problem has always been, exposure.

Yep...

And there is a lot of good cappers that do post picks in that forum...

More folks should check it out...

I don't think that is suffice. Cats is a good guy that took the time to post in multiple forums. He wanted some posts of appreciation and thanks for his hard work. You can't get that in the tracker forum.

Then you have people that post nonsense like this post, bashing other members, and they expect that person to have no reaction. This is the main problem in the forum and I'm glad this southern coach dude just proved my point with what he said in this post.

Cats deserves center Stage IMHO
The Best capper on the RX for years

op's can't lock their own threads, but that wouldn't do what we're looking for.
Only thing is report and we can just delete

Hey BetAll, I'm guilty of that on occasion just as many in this forum are also guilty of it, including the person who made this post bashing me. Someone that makes mention of another member such as he decided to do is also against forum rules and all it does is draw a reaction. Too many expect to be able to bash someone and not get a reaction.

Just sayin.

BUT there should be room for intelligent discussion, even debate from other points of view (last minute injuries, weather, data, etc), some posters offer excellent additional informaton releveant to the original poster's selection, pro or con.

THAT is good.

THAT is what the site should be about, not just a picking contest.

But the trolls and ridiculous unrelated banter should be able to be deleted by the original poster, IMO.

unfortunately, that's not how the system is set up, and I don't think the system would allow an op to delete anyone elses posts, but their own
So we go back to reporting the person / post and give the Mods a chance to respond
But that works both ways, there is plenty of back and forth from the "Basher" and the "op"

I suggest that when there's a problem with another person, the OP should report it first and ignore them, that way a Mod will clearly see the problem
and deal with it.

I know I'm asking a lot, but just makes our job easier to spot it and give out the infraction, and delete it.

Original poster can block or delete outside posts?

(Think of all the big name top cappers that have abandoned this board the last few years from being harrassed over and over. Once a few are deleted the trolls and nutcases will eventually give up... and we will have a clean, informative board with releveant input when applicable; I participate to see angles and data and ideas and try to contribute with different approaches... but am not a 24/7/365 participant.)

This would be a great feature and should be looked into adding. To many good cappers have quit over the years due to the trolls. I am not an active poster but a long time follower
