    Nice haul for Jets to get a 2nd that could be pretty high next year for a guy that wasn't gonna be on the team past next season anyway.

    This is better trade than I imagined. I like Sam and he needs the change of scenery and still believe he can be good but his stock dropped. According to sources the Jets could only acquire a 3rd or 4th rounder at best for this year's draft. But Joe Douglas pivoted beautifully and received a 2nd round and a 4th for next years draft! Plus a 6th in this years draft, love it!

    Impossible to fairly grade Sam Darnold at the NFL level to this point due to only playing for Adam Gase. He deserves a couple of seasons under a competent coach before he can be fairly evaluated.

    See Ryan Tannehill and what he has done after leaving Gase for reference.
