Define "cooked"
There are only 2 parties and 1 of them thinks police and borders are a problem as well as everything should be free, doubt GOP going anywhere even if they are a dysfunctional bunch.
Not like I care much because libs control all the major institutions (really doing a great job grooming Gen Z, think they could build something like the Hoover Dam if need be?) but GOP good chance to take the house back in a mere 18 months.
After Nixon people thought GOP was done forever (granted we didn't have mass 3rd world migration of obedient Dem voters then) and Reagan revolution started shortly thereafter.
There are 2 parties, politics is almost always a compromise of the lesser of two evils and parties don't stay rigid in their principles. They're power seeking entities that adapt to gain power. GOP will adjust even if it is clunky and awkward.
Unfortunately some of that adjustment may be becoming more liberal and having absurd notions like there are more than 2 genders. But hey, some in the thread probably think that's a great thing.
