Sad day for a man who I felt never got a fair shake in the NFL. The guy could spin the rock.

Former University of Hawaii quarterback and 2007 Heisman Trophy finalist Colt Brennan has died, according to his father Terry Brennan.
Brennan, 37, was a patient at a rehabilitation facility when he was found unconscious a few days ago. He died on Monday at Hoag Hospital in Newport, Calif.
“He was doing so well, the spark was back in his eyes, and he was healthy and doing great, and it happened,” Terry Brennan said.
The elder Brennan said his son was in the fifth month of a six-month inpatient treatment program.
“He had been doing really (well),” Brennan said. “These guys were no-nonsense guys. It just got away from him. I don’t know how else to explain it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to explain it better.”

good times man watching Hawaii those years .. they were a backdrop to allot of debauchery for allot of us on those saturday nights ..

gambling all day long .. out on Saturday night , no volume but on every tv .. drinking .. maybe some snort .. woman .. a rubber band play on the over at 88 .. I wish he could've found a way to enjoy himself the same way away from the field, no doubt a rocky transition away from the game was a catalyst a

RIP Colt. Many times he came through for me when betting Hawaii for the midnight Saturday game during his tenure.

Welcome to 4 months ago.

I just wait around for the wife to give me the real news. 4 months later. Then I get on TheRx. Go find the old thread. And post about it.

June Jones was the coach. Hawaii went 12-0 that year until they met up against a real team in Georgia and then they got blown out, exposing their undefeated record for being what it really was, a bunch of victories against lesser teams.

RIP Colt.

Thank God Timmy Chang is still alive.
