Chargers OT Parker out for year. David Boston kicked out of practice today and might be suspended. Tim Dwight questionable (like that matters), Reche Caldwell out. Defense the worst in the league. Starting WR's this weekend could be two unsigned free agents Parker and Osgood. Team is fighting with one another, questioning Schottenheimer and OC Cameron's play calling.

This team is in absolute TURMOIL. Not only are they bad, they are going to roll over soon, if they already haven't. They are the pro equivalent of Mackovic and the Arizona Pussycats. Heads may be rolling if they don't win this weekend...and trust me, they won't.

The Chargers are just the shot in the arm to lift that limp carcass called the Oakland Raiders off the Tarmac and make them look like last year's superbowl team.

As bad as the Raiders have looked, the Chargers have looked twice as bad. I don't know how anyone could think of betting on this team. I'd wait until they cover a game. Until then, make some money and lay the points, because the Raiders should win this by three touchdowns.

Well said, couldn't agree more. Marcellus Wiley is the most overpaid player in the entire NFL.

WC, do you ever venture over to the Sports City Cafe off of Nobel and I-5?

Forgot to mention that LT also has a sore groin and didn't practice today.

Slutorgasm....I just figured your handle out. I haven't been over to Sports City for quite some time...You know...work, girlfriend, kid, ex-wife. I did buy myself a big-screen so I could enjoy the games at home, but I usually lose out on that end too.

Hey, the Chargers suck, the Padres are pathetic, but how 'bout them Aztecs!

You're right. Our squads suck. But Petco is going to be the crown jewel Park in MLB. Going Friday night to see the Chicken's final appearance at the Q (with bobblehead). Also can't wait to see #55 in Aqua on Monday Night in October. They will squash the Bolts

I haven't liked Brees since they drafted him, and I don't see him every amounting into a bona fide NFL starter. He will only be successful as a "game manager" (see Trent Dilfer) with loads of talent and defense around him. As long as he is behind center, Bolts are in trouble

As for the Aztecs. Tough to get a read on this game. I want to think they can hang with UCLA, but still not impressed with the passing game. If UCLA comes to play, they are easily 10 points better than State. Different than Ohio State, the Bruins won't be overlooking them.

Totally agree with you about UCLA, they always beat the crap out of the Aztecs. The only difference this year is that UCLA's offense truly sucks, which gives SDSU a fighting chance to beat the number.

How would you have liked to see Mike Vick running around the infield dirt at the Q in the baby blues. I like LT, but I would take that trade back in a quick minute.

I can't really get a read on Brees, because he has and is dealing with the worst offensive line in the NFL. But Tim Dwight has been an absolute bust, and the fact Butler gave him a $5 mill. contract is absurd.

As far as Petco goes, I drove down there Monday and checked it out. I think it's going to be real nice. I don't know if it will be Pac Bell, but it will be 10x's better than the Q. Towers has to go, he is one of the worst judges of talent in Baseball. How many shortstops and catchers have been brought in to San Diego. Kevin Jarvis, a career 5+ ERA gets a $4.5 mill. contract, and he traded Woody Williams for a $7 mill. bust in Langford. I'll tell you another $5.0 bust...Mark Kotsay. He is sure no Steve Finley, who they could have kept for half the price. I understand the budget constraints, but there is virtually nothing down on the farm, and they want to bring in an old Greg Maddox to shore up the pitching? faggetaboutit. Until the padres upgrade their pitching (a bunch of 4 and 5 starters at best), and find a catcher that can hit over .250, they ain't going nowhere.

And since this is a betting forum...

Chargers should have kept Riley and Norv Turner, should have never drafted Brees, should have kept Fluite as #1 qb and Dickenson at #2 qb. Every 1st or 2nd round pick after LT should have been best Olineman available.

David Boston has been suspended for the game, Reche Caldwell is out, and Tim Dwight is ?. Chargers will start Eric Parker and Kassim Osgood at WR (neither player drafted). Alexander & Norman, two best TE's also out. If Woodson and Shaw aren't shaking in their boots, couldn't imagine why. Lots of people in this forum seem to like the Chargers in this game. I'm just wondering why? Can't believe Boston suspension wasn't worth at least 1/2 point in the line. And don't forget, Vaughn Parker, the Chargers' best OL for the last 8-10 years is out. And this is a REVENGE GAME. BLOWOUT CITY!

Whormoan,

Nobody here gets the benefit of knowing just how bad the Chargers really are on a daily basis.

I'm with ya, I'm making a huge play on the Raiders 37 - 10

THE spread is too big for my taste, but i wouldnt blame anyone for playing the raiders.

good game to have in a 6 or 7 point teaser though imo.

Not a big proponent of laying big wood on the $$$ line, but this is an exception where there is actually BIG VALUE on this $$$$ line. The $$$ line currently sits at -320 in most books, standard for a 7 point line. However, under the current situations of these teams, it should probably be closer to -600 if not more. The likelihood of a Chargers outright win is about 10%. The CHargers WILL NOT WIN THIS GAME!

Wasn't pretty, but it got there. This is one instance where the -330 $$$ line price was worth every penny. The Chargers are so pitiful. They really deserved to win today.
