I learned a long time ago never to take things too seriously in a forum like this. Things we type can be taken the wrong way too easily. There's no way to type tone or sarcasm and be sure someone won't misunderstand the meaning. I never felt like I was being talked down to, by the way. You don't owe me an apology. I will, however, say that I didn't like the name-calling when you got into it with Michelangelo. I don't think that type of stuff has any place with this group. I come to this forum everyday because I enjoy the camaraderie as we all join together with the singular purpose of making a couple of bucks in this great sport. I may be naÔve, but I root for every single one of you on this board that put your neck out there to share the results of your daily handicapping.
You played this contest intelligently, patiently, and deserve the "W". Thanks for an enjoyable competition. I'll be there for the rematch!

    Mel:
I’m glad you never felt I talked down to you and you’re correct everyone’s “tone” doesn’t come through the internet

You’re also right I got a bit carried away with my verbiage with Michelangelo and for that I apologize to you and him

Jack1999 I thank you for putting this contest together and for your time in scoring and past few days keeping me in line

    my tally for today was

    bet: $150
    collected: $46

once again thanks to Jack1999 for arranging this contest and scoring it
I know in our next contest Jack will use more self control
Mel fought hard every inch of this match, I was very fortunate that he missed on some nice priced horses

Finally I apologize to you both for my reaction to Michel
I should have just let it go

    Congrats to BHP.

You won the contest fair and square. Good job.

Going forward I want to bury the hatchet. In real life I root for everyone to succeed. I do the same on this board and enjoy the board for that reason.

Whatever happened here, let's just move on and forget about it.

I enjoyed watching your contest. Good job, Jack, running it and congrats again to BHP for winning it.

OK Great Good to see Michel accepted BHP's apology. I enjoy interacting with both of you on the forum. hate to see conflicts. And Michel think it over. Similar rules for the Winter game would like to see you play.
